Re: Does this look like a cracked solder joint to you?
O.M.G. How did I not spot that - thank you for pointing it out! I couldn't find the cap anywhere, so I'll need to buy a spare. Is anyone able to confirm if these would be a good replacement? Does this look like a cracked solder joint to you?
I've been having bad stability issues with my card, no audio, loud crackles, etc. I took a look at all the capacitors under a microscope to look for any damage and it all looked fine apart from this one hair-line shown here. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/17WOqBZr1I5CMNnFLgXwaMrL850GPau-vFlq...

Re: A16 Ultra doesn't always get connection to XITE over Z-Link?
Just chiming in here to say I also have an A16U and also need to warm it up before I can use it, 5-15 minutes.
If I launch Scope too soon after cold I either get loud digital noise from the A16U, or lots of rapid crackles. If I let it warm up it works fine all day.

My new EP on Spotify etc.
My new EP just got released, all made on Scope: https://open.spotify.com/album/7vwtx4SndY6W54gjzwBlPR?fbclid=IwAR3-SHB306-5egoJQ21EnAOyhJtSg1-N0i0CQm2m_aIe4ngyPVaLgeMb_Cg https://oddskool.bandcamp.com/album/adoorable-clog There's a lot of Scope in these tracks (!) but sharp ears could listen out for...

Re: Giada causes BSOD in Scope.sys
Interesting development:
Newly built PC and installed a different application, "Ricoh Theta", https://support.theta360.com/en/download/pcmac/, which causes the same ScopePci.sys BSOD when it tries to set up a connection to ASIO.

Re: Masterverb Test Thread
Love reading this, thanks.
I've just this afternoon built my Asus Prime B460 plus Win10 system and am typing from it now.
Next I'm now going to physically install my Scope cards so watch this space.

Re: Asus PRIME B460 Plus & Windows 11 Possible solution
Thanks, I've just this weekend ordered a new system based on the ASUS Prime B460 PLUS.
We reached the same conclusion in this thread as you did:

It's nice to have it confirmed from two sources though!

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
The main chip on the PCIe Riser I bought is marked P17C9X 111SLBFDE 2015GT. There are a few other types on the market with different chips, for example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000384523691.html I wonder if it might be worth gambling again on a different riser. Maybe a different implementat...

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
I'm not sure I understand your instructions but, anyway, the case in the middle was also complaining about "Timeout waiting for acknowledge from DSP 0" (highlighted in green) so no amount of valid keys would solve that

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
So the "PCI-E To Dual PCI Riser Card" arrived: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255022730528 After a bit of whittling to get the SATA power connector to fit (it was clashing with the Pulsar) I have it all plugged into my machine. The cards show up in Device Manager! That's as far as I got though...

OK I'm going to try this out, I've ordered one of these PCI riser boards: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255022730528 I've also modelled an external case for my two Pulsar IIs from bits I found on thingiverse: https://i.imgur.com/qFpmr9i.png https://www.tinkercad.com/things/l8xkVtFlF0h-sonic-core-pulsar...

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
Good info, thanks. This user has checked their Asus PRIME B460 bios for TPM support and didn't see it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/o78rmx/tpm_chip/h315q7x/?context=3 It would be good if this TPM stuff is overblown as you say. I need to buy a new PC in the next month so might not have the ...

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
With the Windows 11 announcement saying we'll need TPM modules, the Asus PRIME B460-PLUS motherboard I had found (modern but with legacy PCI) is out of the window for me. It doesn't have TPM as far as I can tell. Luckily I hadn't made the purchase yet! Looks like I'm back to the PCI Express x1 to PC...

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
Believe me, I'm grateful to be able to use my 20 year old soundcard!
I'm very pleased to have found the Asus PRIME B460-PLUS board to be honest, just wanted to know if anyone knew of a better choice before I pull the trigger.

Re: PCI Express x1 to PCI/PCI-X Adapter Card
There are plenty of modern motherboards with PCI slots(even though PCI is obsolete). I'm looking to buy a new motherboard now, the best I've found is the ASUS PRIME B460-PLUS (SOCKET LGA 1200) DDR4 ATX MOTHERBOARD. It's Chipset B460 and supports 10th Gen Intel, doesn't support Rocket Lake though. A...
