same here bud, just took of the card from my i7 4790k due to the same reasons u mention.
now building a new rig with a i7 920 and some older parts i have here and its gonna be a good opportunity for me to try this out in 32bit aswell & hopefully get a better performance

i Use ableton Live's Midi Arpeggiator for that, works like a charm, in scope I dont know!
