Re: Problems with wave module and samplerate (Win7 64bit)
Not sure if it will solve the problem, but you should remove the second entry of speakers regardless, it can cause similar problems for sure. Use the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound Play some music and check which has the active green soundbar. Set it as default and remove the other, unde...

It's not uncommon that plugins are more stable when running inside a host.
Do you really need the standalone version?

Check if your graphics card has the latest drivers.
If it has I would contact Nugen.

Re: NI Kontakt 5 Standalone crash
Ok, thanks Maus. I forgot to mention that I'm on Windows 8.1 - 64bit. I uninstalled Kontakt 5 and reinstalled from disc - version 5.0.0 which works in standalone. Then I updated to 5.4.1 again via Service Center (as administrator), and this version crashes as before. So I uninstalled again and tried...

NI Kontakt 5 Standalone crash
The standalone version of Kontakt 5.4.1.211 is causing an immediate blue screen crash on startup / ASIO driver select on my computer.
All the other NI standalone executables work fine.
Can anyone else confirm this error..?

Re: Soldering a capacitor
Thank you jhulk :) The card is working in the sense that it can launch the Scope platform and generate audio. However, it will create those communication error popups whenever I load more stuff into the DSPs. It will also crash on occasion. With my other 3-card setup I can load all the way to the la...

Soldering a capacitor
One of my Pulsar cards has had a capacitor come off, the card stopped working, and I'm thinking this should be my first venture into soldering. I got most of the tools ready, but I could need some tips and direction. I need to know if I can use the same capacitator or have to get a new one. What web...

Re: x files sounds...how?
Mark Snow definitely has a distinct sound that puts him in the top league of composers for TV series. I've always thought that he uses multi-layering of predominantly FM synthesis, often a bit narrow-banded and icy, as opposed to full-bodied and warm sound. There is some info out there about gear he...

MIDI Power
I'm thinking of getting a MIDI thru box that can work without an adapter. However, there are quite a few units that can't power MIDI this way, and I'm wondering if anyone has tested this with the Pulsar PCI cards. Creamware / SC is not on the list of exceptions though: http://www.midisolutions.com/f...

Re: Asus Z87 w/ 3 x PCIs
pwhitmaker, could you do the Masterverb load test on your new PC? gary, thanks for the reply. I basically understand the difference from PCI cards with DSPs to those with only a controller and some IOs. What I'm still somewhat unsure of is what exactly causes a certain motherboard to handle PCI traf...

Gary, what does "realtime PCI" mean in actual hardware specifications?
Is it a PCI latency timer issue?

That would be version 5, but the screenshot is from an earlier version.wayne wrote:That would be Tools -> external devices, which are nameable i/o labels. Very handy.
In scope 3 / 4 there is a destination and a source device which are one-way only, and no MIDI IO either.

Re: Is there something wrong with my hardware?
As far as I know devices in Scope can't be renamed, so someone must have created those modules with Scope SDK. (Unless they are Photoshopped of course..)
