Re: Midi controllers Pro One,Minimax,Profit5

I guess the Roland SE-02 would work as I originally intended, and it is not much more expensive than the new midi-controller.

Re: Midi controllers Pro One,Minimax,Profit5

Sorry my fault about the BPro1 having CC. I thought it did:

Re: Midi controllers Pro One,Minimax,Profit5

What I mean is, you can use the Pro1 as a midi-controller for the Profit5 if that's what you need, and in addition you get the analogue synth engine as well :)

Re: Midi controllers Pro One,Minimax,Profit5

Why not get a Behringer Pro 1? It does the same job, price is the same, and there's an analogue synth in there as well ;)

Re: Midi controllers Pro One,Minimax,Profit5

All synths made by Creamware, including Bowens synths (Solaris, Q-wave) doesn't store all cc's properly. 1. Some cc's will be "forgotten" upon recall, 2. others, which is more serious, will be recalled, but completely change the behavior of the affected parameter, which will in some cases ...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

It´s strange you have to push the switch repeatedly to get the unit powering up. :) Bud Well, there's not much else to try when the power fails :) It doesn't mean it's actually the switch which is the problem. At some point I thought the problem could be the power plug going into the XITE which was...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I could fairly easy try to not use the power button for a while and see if it makes a difference.

Even though I don't experience any static electricity, how would one check if there is a problem with static electricity?

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Thank you for chiming in! That was my goal for posting here, to eliminate all possibilities before sending it back to Holger. All my equipment runs on the same circuit, but different outlets. Not all equipment is grounded, but what can easily be grounded is grounded. Might be an avenue to investigat...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

@t_tangent: I recall that you told about your wiggle technique, when we discussed the issue with the A16U where it takes a long time syncing up with the correct frequency. This problem is different, and I'm not able to provoke the problem to appear if I wiggle the power button on my Xite. @yayajohn:...

A heat problem - I havn't explored that idea. Are you talking about the power supply or the XITE it self?

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I don't doubt you, and I'm sure that those messages can be triggered by a dodgy hdmi connection. But as I said, my whole unit loses power. Some times only for a short while, other times for longer periods of time and I have to push the power button several times before lights in the power led comes ...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Well, the whole unit loses power for a while, so I don't see how this should be HDMI-cable related.

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Unfortunately my XITE started to act up again with the other powersupply. Loosing power for no apparent reason. I guess it is an internal problem after all :(

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Fortunately I don't have problems with static electricity, but thanks for pointing it out! For a week now I've been running the XITE with a different power supply and I haven't seen any "copy protection error's". My best guess is a kinda dodgy connecter on the power supply I've been using ...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Thanks - Openning it up and give it a blast of air or contact cleaning is the next step after I've given the other power supply a second go. Only problem with that one is that it used to produce a physical hiss/noise in the Xite itself. But it will do for this test, and just maybe a new power supply...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

Well, I have tried everything with the HDMI-cable, including changing it out with other cables, which did not do the trick.

Also, the power LED flickering tells me it is a power issue of some sort.

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I'll propably ending up having to, and then they'll tell me to ship my unit to Germany for repair. Somehow I have this childish hope that I can avoid that :)

Unreliable power problem on my XITE

For years I've had periodic problems with "unreliable" power on my XITE. Resulting in "copy protection error's". So far I've been "fixing" it by turning the XITE on and of until it turns on. But for the past few weeks it's been happening several times daily, so I'd like...

GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome ;)

The feeling you have, when you have found "the next new thing" and you want to buy it really bad :)
