Re: SCOPE 5.1
That's great news, now they have scope 5 32-bit AND 64-bit both BETA versions, but why does everybody get a private email about this? I consider this as a big step forward. They are not there yet, I know, finally we know at what stage they are right now. That's promising. :) But still, it almost se...
Re: PCI-E
That helps to know the PCI-E x1 will fit into any of the other ones like x4/x8/16 The HDMI cable IS included in the package then??? - for Xite that is..... However, if you need a longer cable, HDMI cables are fairly easy to get hold of. You can just check your local Audo/Video store or off the inte...

Re: SCOPE 5.1
I very recently changed over to 64bit and was prepared to put the Xite-1 on hold until the 64bit drivers were ready. So I was pleasantly surprised to get an email with the beta. So I made a True Image backup of my drive (just in case), uninstalled my MOTU Traveller and then connected the Xite-1 back...

Re: Questions about the ExpressCard
Thanks Katano, katano wrote:1) No, it's a mini hdmi to hdmi just like todays digital cameras have
2) Therefore no, you can't use the same cable AND maximum cable lenght is about 1.8 meters for the express card, if I remember well.
Damn, 1.8m isn't long enough for me

Questions about the ExpressCard
I didn't want to totally hijack the laptop thread so I thought I'd start a new one :) 1) What connector type does the ExpressCard use to connect to the Xite-1? Is it HDMI like on the PCIe card? 2) If answer to 1 is yes, can I use my 5m HDMI cable that I'm currently using for the PCIe card or is ther...

Thanks as always, Greg.siriusbliss wrote:It's not required, since the card is PCIe, but I've read of other conflicts with NON TI chipsets.auricle wrote:Sorry, going back onto laptops.
For the Xite card for laptops, is a TI firewire chipset required?
Will have to track down the information.

Re: Couple of questions before the wallet comes out!
I can confirm both of these points.
I have plugged my MOTU Traveller Mk3 (connected to my Mac) to the Xite-1 via four optical cables and they work together really well.
I also bought a 3 metre HDMI cable as the stock 1 metre was way too short for the layout of my room - again, it works really well.

Re: Midi lag processor
Even though there are only 128 steps, most controllers (either faders or rotaries) 'jump' from one value to another e.g. from value zero to 20 to 65 to 80 to 127. Some sort of 'delay' or 'filter' would allow the steps to smoothly go from one value to another.

Midi lag processor
Hi,
Is there any way of 'slewing' the MIDI signals coming from an external input? I'm trying to eliminate the 'zippering' effect of low resolution MIDI CC messages when controlling Scope synths.
Cheers!

Interestingly, I sent an email to them just to see if they will shed any light on the release. I got this reply today: Hi Daniel, we have only the internal beta with ASIO working, but no WAVE, Sampler, VDAT and some other driver related things. We think we can have a version ins about one month. Re...

XTC in Vienna Ensemble Pro
Has anyone tried Scope using Vienna Ensemble Pro host?
I want to try using Scope devices as plugins in Logic Pro using VEP run from my PC and I wondered if anyone has any experience trying this.
