Re: New stuff.
I feel similarly well covered by existing Scope tools as Liquid EDGE, and still haven‘t exploited the system to it‘s full capabilities yet. Tbh the main „flaw“ I experience is not sound, but sometimes control (GUI and midi). Of course new releases would be cool, but regarding PCI cards one has to fa...

Re: Cool Gear PCI to PCI Expansion
no latency issues with Magmas generally, but reduced PCI capacity will be the limitation. I just happened to get a 7 slot Magma box (with Digidesign cards intended as spare) and took the opportunity to run it with 3 Pulsar II boards on the Asus P4C800 (Intel 875) under Win7/32. It installed flawles...

Re: Scope PCI cards clicks & pops - Windows 7 & Cubase 10
No need to drop all... VDat and the STS Samplers are at least 90% of native Win code, but an old version. (dunno which exactly, but certainly not easy to port to any current Win environment) These CAN be run in 32bit Win7 if you like (or need) them, on bargain hardware. There are tons of outdated mo...

Re: is VDAT working on v5.1 ?
... interestingly, VDATs didn't want to be cascaded from the same clock and even threw some error that it can't be done but nevertheless functioned AND the second VDAT was also in sync with the first one and the Alesis deck! Imho that‘s just a visual flaw. If the Adat Sync is received once, it‘s ap...

Re: Scope PCI cards clicks & pops - Windows 7 & Cubase 10
That Scope minefield is quickly sorted by a bunch of Adat connections, as mentioned numerous times ;) RME provides a Digiface with 32 io channels in the $400 range to be connected to any current Mac/Win system. You (and me) cannot expect anyone to be that stupid to transfer the old VDat environment....

1 microFarad, 50V would make sense at that position (Vcc2 Gnd).

Re: Plugin Alliance, Brainworx, and iZotope are now part of Native Instruments
... We’re at the endpoint where iPad apps are scavenging the market. Imho it‘s not the endpoint yet. There seems to be a huge amount of mini-DSP hardware out there, atm mainly for the pedal and Eurorack scene, way more affordable than the classic Motorola and Sharc (development) environments and lo...

Since I get Plugin Boutique‘s ads at least 3 times a week in my mail, the whole business seems to run nuts.
Sellout prices everywhere, no opportunity to announce another sale left out.
There is so much sh*t flooding the market... must be tough to get reasonable revenues.

Re: Creamware presets used in Eiffel 65 songs
Once you put a raw synth through delay and/or reverb it basically becomes non recognizable ;) (I know from countless Casio and Yamaha presets, which really started to shine after the procedure) Creamware‘s 1st Vocoder release certainly was an achievement those days, but the Vocodizer sequel really n...

Re: So I just started Scope...
Yes, sample osc in 64 bit is a general problem afaik. It‘s a bit tricky if you load an unknown preset for a synth that potentially may activate a sample osc (from it‘s arsenal of oscillators). You‘d have to edit the patch in 32bit mode to remove the offending part. Imho it‘s an inconvenience, but no...

Re: Pulsar wont wok
It‘s a voltage regulator with 1.5A capability. The AS2830 is a 3A version, might be more heat resistant.
(the part is only cooled by the solder pad around it... and Croatia gets pretty warm in summer)
Congrats for the solution

Re: So I just started Scope...
STS5000 only „harmonizes“ existing samples, it doesn‘t act like a life vocal processor (Autotune, Vocoder, etc).

Re: Z-Link cable - question
With that type of plug only do connections with both devices powered down.
There is some tolerance of plug/socket that can lead to wrong power connections.
I’ve seen at least half a dozen fried circuit boards for that reason (external HD enclosures).
congrats to your Xite

Re: Scope PCI Sync Plates
What about the $85 WC cable? Worth it? or Snake Oil? That kind of cable usually is for much higher frequencies than 44.1 to 96khz. It looks like „regular“ wordclock, but is mostly used in modern video context iirc. Digidesign‘s 256x sample rate clock (aka Superclock) is another candidate for high q...

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
I only have 5.1 and imh ears no difference in sound at all, except where obvious (like Mod4, which is „new“ code).
5.0 to 5.1 and later probably is more housekeeping under the hood, not the basic sound engine.

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
@Chilliman a Syncplate and dedicated wordclock is a great benefit with multiple Adat connections, worth hunting one down, even if it takes a while. Looks like I found my dream Scope base with an Asus P4C800 (Intel 875P, 5 PCI slots) and a 2 Ghz P4Mobile, running Win7/32 and Scope 5.1 with 3 Pulsar 2...

Re: Anyone into Minimosta 2? Look at this price right now
I‘ve drastically reduced the number of synths in use... and though Model D sounds great, it never became a favorite. (maybe because I lack the chops to play it properly) So in Scope it‘s Python and Solaris by John Bowen, Gemini PD, OP8, SparC by Wavelength and Synthetic by SpaceF. Occasionall...
