hi stelibo, I mentioned that setup, because I found it more or less accidently. Just bought the mixer for additional IOs. But it's much more useful (for me) in this configuration where it's splitted between some computer stuff AND external audio. The 16 channels are just the 'communication' channels...

it doesn't matter if the thing is called Pulsar or Luna ! It's the same procedure. For simplicity: plug a headphone into the output of the onboard sound and play your game. Hear something ? Fine. You may replace the headphones by a cable to Luna's analog-in Or setup Windows / your game's default aud...

hi stelibo and welcome ! the Behringer 3216 might fit nice with Pulsar if equipped with the ADT1616 16-ch-adat expansion. Just route 16 channels from Pulsar via adat-out to the 3216 and back from the mixer via adat-in as a replacement of your current onscreen-mixer. Then you don't need to automate t...

dunno exactly, but I can save 2 STS 3000 ( no data loaded, though) in a project. It may be more related to the STS 4000. For curiosity: do you have a certain application for 2 distinct samplers ? The empty sampler is a tremendous resource hog and midi/sound details could as well be applied to differ...

hi, a rather different approach, hardly comparable. How it sounds you know from the Vectron Player, the soundengine is the same. Vectron is in the direction of the Wavestation, main aspect being the changes of a sound over time. If you're into sound design and want to build your own wavesets from yo...

you might disconnect the analog source from your project routing and use only the Luna box for IO. If the noise doesn't reappear, you have at least a temporory cure. It's all very vague because the effect can't be associated with a certain part of the system. Damages by static electricity are very s...

the latency thing is very simple: sound 'happens' twice as fast at 96 khz  The actual 'unit' of latency is the number of samples in a device buffer. If those samples are played back at a higher rate, then less time is needed. Imho you should convert your various data rate and bit deepth source...

hi, from what you write I'd suspect it's the Roland malfunctioning. You may check several items: do the Adat out ports on both systems light ? Check the Pulsar hardware by routing a mono testsignal through the Adat-ports: out1->in1, out1->in2, out2->in2, out2->in1 If any one of the cases work you ha...

six_wax, user interface issues are the most tedious and time consuming parts of any developement project. It may look easy on the screen, but may be a hell to control what's going on on the surface. Just an example for amusement: change the color depth of your display while keeping Pulsar running an...

it's probably not the soundcard itself but the installer that 'connected' the onboard sound to Windows default playback devices. You'd have to manually choose the Pulsar's wave / direct sound drivers in the affected program's setup. Or leave it as it is and feed the analog out of the onboard sound b...

imho the high sample rates are unavoidable. Certain digital processing (like filtering) is much easier at high rates and afaik some circuitry is even cheaper to produce. You don't have to exchange your complete signal chain to benefit from this. That's what the guy in the review meant with the examp...

Snoopy, stay away from these: they produce tremendous electrical noise  The gas inside is ignited by a high voltage pulse and the driving circuitry contains large inductivities. But if you like spectral illuminations: they are nice for some nonsense do-it-yourself activities to relax from recor...
