wouterz, I wondering which method are you using for the dual boot procedure? Any hints about? I just planned to reinstall everything on my travel Laptop and this dual OS solution sounds good to me... What's the disadvantage when compared to an active version (other that the lack of extra gain)?

I tried to connect unbalanced line level (-10 dBV) signals to the analogue XLR connections on the back of the XITE-1 using a converter cable XLR to unbalanced jack. But the level difference is to high. Would a +4 to -10 converter box help? I found this one:

I don't how it could be possible to add madi to an Xite as it is build now. But there is certainly much better technician here to say if it is possible. As Dante said, you can easily run PCI card & an Xite-1 on the same computer in order to have plenty i/o. Now you've got an Xite, keep your PCI...
