Just got a Spring sale notice from S|C for XITE-1 (which I already have), and it comes with SCOPE V8 Beta.
I haven't been hanging round here so much so may have missed some discussion of this.
I suppose Gary knows but can't discuss.
Any public news about this?

Re: New PC build 2023 Advice Needed
Hi Mr. Arkadin. Your new build looks really great. I built a similiar box 2 years ago and initially had various problems unrealated to Scope but mostly got it sorted out. (I still ocasionally get pops and clicks but only with VST instruments in the DAW.) Here is the thread: https://forums.scopeuser...

Re: New PC build 2023 Advice Needed
i haven't seen any motherboard issues for some time.... I think I was just unfortunate with the X99. I think I even remember someone using one later succesfully, so maybe it was just too new at the time and a BIOS update fixed it? The Z790 has two PCIe x1 slots I believe. Is it OK to use the x16 sl...

Re: New PC build 2023 Advice Needed
Actually it'll probably be just the RTX 3070 standard, as reading up on it the Ti didn't really seem to add much more than the regular for the extra cost.

New PC build 2023 Advice Needed
So it's been a while. Still using my XITE-1 but my computer needs an update. Trying to see if anyone has any experience with the bits I might be choosing for a custom build. Some may remember the nightmare I had with the X99 motherboard (I think it was), so I'm trying to avoid any known pitfalls. So...

Re: DAWman / Jimmy
Last time I checked this thread Jimmy was posting again, so I assumed this was just a continuation of the thread and only just now looked at it for updates. Somewhat shocked here. I had many PM chats as well as forum chats over the years and I felt like a knew the guy even though we never met. Ankyu...

Re: DAWman / Jimmy
Not been here for a while, so all my best to Jimmy. I really need some sore dick deals dude! I was even thinking of trying to swing by on a trip to the US, but covid/politicains have killed my chances of US travel for a bit.
I look forward to the summer of torture!

Re: any good source for more presets ?
Did you try the presets section of the forum? I compiled a lot of presets into one-stop packages (all sound designers credited): https://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28825 There's also the more recent StyleDriver library from Sonic Core: http://scope.zone/index.php?id=1360&lg=e...

Re: First sound card.
Whatever was built into my PC at the time, some SoundBlaster thing. Then jumped straight to Pulsar and PowerSampler. I was buying the Pulsar and mistakenly thought that you needed PowerSampler to run the sampler - I don't think information was as clear back then and I didn't know about Planet Z. Wel...

Re: 20th Anniversary on PlanetZ
Haven't heard from Michu for ages. We used to have regular e-chats and I even met him in Poland when I went there on holiday and got very drunk on various different vodka drinks. Glad he's still active even if it's not here.

Re: Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
I'm only thinking about this because the latest BFD3 from fxpansion is W8 and W10 only (effectively making it Windows 10 only as I don't know any musos that use W8 - or many people fullstop!)
They've dropped W7 support and I was very vocal about my thoughts on that!

Re: Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
win10 really needs to be connected to the internet. it is the beginning of a client-based solution, rather than local applications, so it is intended to always be connected. if you don't let it update, funny things can happen. if it updates normally, it is pretty well-mannered. Yeah, that's the sor...

Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
So I'm thinking that some time this year I will 'upgrade' to Windows 10. I have looked at a few threads but all the information is all over the place or a bit old, so I wanted to maybe get all the info in one thread. My system: Windows 7 64-bit (latest updates) XITE-1 running Scope 7.0.1706 Cubase 1...
