Hifiboom, at the background of your screenshot I can see a word-document called "Diplomarbeit"!
Do you write your Diplomarbeit about Scope? :D
Sorry for OT.

Well, let's compare our systems: ASUS P5AD2-E, winXP Home SP2, Scope Pro, Cubase SL 3.1 ... When I use STS-4000, the system crashes - sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours. It doesn't matter if I build new sts-sounds with wave-files or only use it as a sample player. When I write this,...

Hard drives are not so safe places as they should be. I've read an article in the c't mag. DVD-RAMs seem to be one of the best solutions for really important backups. Well, this is not the cheapest solution. Anyway, I'm going to record and declick all my vinyls to external HDs. I have over 1000 disc...

Wow.
With these sounds you should cover "Canario" from EL&P.
Keith Emerson would be enviously.

Jimmy, the STS has a 64 voice polyphony, that means a 32voices stereo piano. And the RAM seems to be limited, that's bad for non-looped samples with many velocities. Is that really enough for such an advanced piano player like you? Giga has up to 160 voices, that should better match to you. And: Do ...

The sentence "Let the people sing" is not necessary to translate, it's the original name.

Little question to one of the italian Z members

Dear italian friends, I have to speak a little italian text in our newest theater production. My italian knowledges are very poor. Could somebody help me? The original german text: Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren! Herzlich willkommen in Wien, der Hauptstadt der Musik. Wir begruessen Sie zum Internatio...

Delicious composition, really. I think in the middle part the string orchestra covers the piano a little bit, I would take the strings 3-4 dB down. Sometimes (at the beginning of a new phrase) they sound a bit hard. Try to smoothen the attack. Did you choose a sound with damped violins? What about e...

Try a project without any STS-samplers, only with synths. It's a pity, but the STS-samplers seem to work not properly under winXP, when you use a sequencer. So I decided to use a STS-3000 on my second computer which uses still win98 and a Luna, and connect it via MIDI and ADAT with my DAW. I would l...

Well, if you wanna create a new DAW, you probably will use mor than 512 MB RAM. This will cause problems under win98.
On my DAW Cubase VST 5.1r1 and SL 3.1 run under XP home except the STS samplers.

Good luck, Thomas
