XITE Real World numbers and Usage vs PCI
Man!! The quality is a bit overwhelming... Okay, so Ive got my little scrawny Home Card(3DSP),lets call it an evaluation board, I went through the gambit of synths and mixers and the sort, the minimax alone with 1 voice ate 50% of the 3 Dsp power, So here's a scenario I am looking at. I want no hold...

Re: ULLI?
I have yet to test it with a Native DAW as I'm am currently using a Roland MV8000 to sequence my gear with. Is the same problem inherent with using Midi only in a native daw, what I mean is do you get latency sequencing Scope synths through the DAW(not XTC btw). I don't need audio functions from any...

ULLI?
I know its somewhere in the manual, but Im just poking around to get your input.
Is this only for asio buffers?
I changed it to 25ms to see the latency difference in Standalone mode and tested it with the included instruments in Scope and there does not seem to be any latency. I am at a lost

Re: Let's try this...again!!
It is here and if all goes well, and no one's looking, I will have another 6dsps to add in a couple more weeks, and then shoot to add another 6 for a total of 15 dsps after that, if uncle sam doesn't beat me over the head to hard that is.

Re: API 560 type eq
Just throwing it out there. Wishing and Wanting The style of that eq and the frequencies chosen helped me acheive some good vocals. And also the old chart that was used to represent each frequency helped as well when it came to sculpting.

Re: API 560 type eq
Is DAS still making Scope plug ins(New ones)? Would be nice to have this puppy in the arsenal. The Waves version was nice, but Im sure a Scope done version would ooze better quality than the native version.

Re: API 560 type eq
I do see the A550EQ emulation on his site, but the API 560 has the 10 bands and the "Proportional Q".

Re: Using Waveforms to create synthsizers
Lol. Sounds exactly like my initial experience with the Sts line on my first card. I overcame the freezing by reducing my dual core to one(actually I changed to uniprocessor roll of windows) and also ensured no irq sharing was going on. It worked flawlessly afterword. I followed most of the tips fro...

Re: Using Waveforms to create synths
what about the STS-5000. Ive used the other versions that came with 4.0. The timestretch and pitch functions, including the 25 or so filters could prove to be very interesting in creating some synth patches using single cycle waves. Lots of possilbilities there as well. 2012 will be interesting.

Re: Has anyone done any STS Music ?
If the STS-5000 is stable under V5.1 like i got it under 4.0, I will run its full course and compose a complete professional song from it solely with effects from scope only(This was my original intent), then we can see what this puppy can really do. I noticed that there are very few people actually...

When I get my baby back and working, I will gladly give my experience and demos on the STS 5000, I started using it before but had to sell my card.

Re: Using Waveforms to create synths
Thanks guys, I will definitely give these a try, vectron seems fun, im sure both of these are dsp hogs and will eat my simple 3dsp card as a snack. Once I start adding more cards then the real fun will begin,

Re: Using Waveforms to create synths
I believe my Emu e6400 is on it's way out, I haven't even had the real chance to use it yet, it locks up when turning it on, and when I do put files on it by way of the IDE drive, obey the naming convention and all, i get a "Mono Zero" error on the samples and even there they at times do n...

Re: Using Waveforms to create synths
One problem I constantly run into with the Akai Z4 sampler and these waveforms is that what is supposed to be a perfect single cycle loop does not turn out that way, even though the Akai Z4 uses 24 bit samples. there's always a buzz to the loops that I do not find elsewhere, I hope my luck is better...
