Turns out my waldorf microQ has poly glide also. with just a little glide it kinda sounds like a pitch envelope is applied with a little randomization. of course with with more glide it gets kind of crazy. I don't know how it picks which notes to glide but i would say your'e theory is probably corre...

Jimmy, I am no expert and certainly can't answer your question. maybe someone from creamware can. Can someone here with a B4000 tell us if it has a zippering problem? kkonkkrete, I reproduced the zippering sound you were describing. I turned off osc 2 and 3 and right at the point where the filter be...

I am a hardware guy all the way. I don't need any more keyboards and rack synths are a pain to program for long periods of time. all though i have a bunch of soft synths they just don't really interest me that much. a desktop has all the knobs and no keyboard. just right for me. It can even sit in m...

Craig Anderton did a review of the cme 88. http://www.keyboardmag.com/story.asp?sectioncode=30&storycode=7780 he liked it. any controller with midi out will work without a computer. you should consider price and what you need. read reviews. the minimax is a great synth but it's not what you need...

here is the description of the 2.0 .O.S. update. the minimax displays no unwanted noise at all. I personally didn't even notice the zipping noise before, It was barely audible. improvements of new DSP software version MINIMAX_ASB_OS_2_00. 1. Important controllers are dezipped, so that no noise is pr...

I have not had any problems loading or saving user or factory sets. as a matter of fact you can create your own set of sounds and save them as the factory set in the asb. Tiitu I see you are running the new version of the editor but have not upgraded your asb o.s. to 2.0. I think the two go together...

Creamware's asb boxes look great! my minimax sits beside my virus b and they both look and sound great. I buy all my keyboards on sound, ease of progamming and price. of course It doesn't hurt if they look good too.

in 2.0 They have fixed the overdrive problem and now the minimax overdrives properly. check to see if the overdrive light is coming on when you hear distortion. they have improved on the polyphony problem but it is still not fixed. I am pleased to see they are working on it. maybe it will be fixed c...

I like it Anna, sounds good to me. It's got an edge to it that my minimax doesn't. I would like to hear something done with the sample and hold. (which the minimax nor pro-12 have)

I emailed support at creamware and asked them if my version 00000102 was the most current and was told it was. even though i saw that there was a version 00000104 out there. I assumed that version wasn't ready yet.

piddi, all i did was turn the release up, press a key and release it. now turn the release knob while the sound is still sustaining and see what happens. the value on the minimax changes but does not effect the sustaining sound. where as my other va's do. if you turn the release to zero the sound st...

Just out of curiosity I tried this on my other va's. turn up the release, strike a note, then turn the release down and see if it adjusts the release in real time. all three of my other va's did. the minimax didn't. that is kinda odd. however for me it's not something I would probably ever need. the...
