If your DAW isn't used for surfing and is dedicated to Scope, I wouldn't bother. As far as I know SP2 is mainly security for security and Scope runs wonderfully without it on my machine. Others more experienced with XP and computers in general may have a different and more educated opinion.

Hi all, I received an activation key from Ralf for the bx update, and had previously download edthe nokeys.oxe file from the server. I assume that it is placed in the oxe folder which I did, but upon opening up the new bx and asking for activation key, it tells me that it is invalid, plus the nokeys...

That has happened to me as recently as yesterday...I always have a shutdown procedure that has always worked but forgot yesterday and the whole thing hanged...I also had two firwire Powercores connected at the time....if I follow the routine all is well..

Just curious how these wonderful tube sims offered to our community from our talented friends stack up to the outboard gear. I can't imagine it can sound any better...for example the spl Charisma and higher end stuff...any opinions?

I think that you will find that true emulations of analog gear really is in the ears of the beholder. As far as I'm concerned with one PCI slot left I would plug it up with Scope, and soon you will not even consider XTC anymore and run your mixes into Scope. I'm sure that UAD which has a great name ...

I can help with some newbie questions since I am just beyond that and leave the more involved ones to the elite of Scope like Mr. Gary and Tommy and the rest.
