The video comment is an excellant example. When I was in an opening act for Skynard,Allman Bros.,Charlie Daniels, I was just an 18 year old punk from St.Louis who had fast chops from doing ELP and Yes for woodshedding purposes. But watching Gregg Allman,Chuck Leavell,Taz DiGregorrio, etc.I can say th...

ASTROMAN, A most familiar sight when I went shopping, and gorging my face, on my neverending quest for the hottest wasabi I could find. Our following was mostly the long haired die hards from the 80s'. Picture the Allman Brothers with lots of synths/keyboards. That's us. We seem to attract the Yakuz...

On my last night in Japan, I finally ran into someone who uses my beloved Scope Platform. He's a young synth addict who spotted the Oberheim XPander immediately that I use. He managed to sneak around behind me and recognised the routing window on my LCD. Gave me a thumbs up, so naturally I had to ha...

A very good tip indeed. I've always had trouble storing B2003 movements on my KS 88 Pro while it was in drawbar mode. Not that big of a deal in the studio, but live, it was a pain in the arse. Pushing up ( reverse mode ) to restart, and zero out drawbars was the work around. Now wherever the positio...

Check out the stability tests for the OCZ Powerstream series. Seperate control for seperate rails. Nice if you work live shows with redundant RAID 1, or 3, or 5 arrays. My Raptors could'nt be happier. GS3 really gives my HDD's a workout. Especially with Gigapulse having it's own RAID 1 array, It's a...

John Bowen, Man Or Myth. I am purchasing your Q-Wave, and Solaris vers.4 in a minute or so. I'm home for another couple hours and just can't seem to get enough done. An associate of ours will do the installation due to my impatience with my lack of computer skills. Hell I'm just a keyboard/synth add...

Astro, Speak of the Devil! Just sent you an email. Well I tried. Do you think that these features can be disabled? Cause the LCD in discussion, is the only one that will fit my rackmounted keyboard stand enclosure. NEC LCD 1860NX. It's not imperative that the touch functions work, only a bonus. I'd ...

Ebay is selling BN 18" touchscreen LCDs for 225 USD. Just wondering if it is able to function with routing window of Scope. Once again I must show my lack of knowledge to fellow pulsarians, and hope the usual knowledgable reply will not be cruel.

I pray for the John Bowen version myself, since playing with Solaris and hearing spot on CEMs, I trust anything he makes. Don't know if I need Q-Wave, but I'm going to purchase it in hopes that the invested time/profit margin ( R.O.I. ), helps keep this genius in our camp.

I can't leave my toys alone, so I opened my new M Audio KS88 to tweak the action with banding felt, and old trick to stiffen up the action globally or in specific zones. This is definately a throw away keyboard, for once you open it you void your warranty, because it's a wrap around manufacturing pr...

I'm sure most synth heads know this trick. I can't seem to get FX w/o zippering in Scope, at least with the Modulation/Delay/Chorus/Reverb types. I can get some nice movement with CC controlled EQ sweeps, which sound great, but I love Mods, and Delays the most. I've been experimenting with a budget ...
