Re: Wich headphones

sorry for misunderstanding... I swear on old AKG K501, 601,701 which I usually buy 2nd hand and replace the earpads (the parts have identical size and connectors, I prefer 601 pads) These parts are quite expensive, but you get a very decent piece of gear that way for about 1/3 of the original price....

Re: where can i download adern software not flexor

I'm unshure about the key system with those devices, but I have Mojo and the Fat Cat stuff, no XOR iirc. Might take a couple of days because I'm not where the machine is.

Re: Wich headphones

iirc I once tested this model, very (!) precise and certainly a great live monitor with focus on essentiel frequencies. But no way to be used in the full range domain, mixing etc. If you're looking for an 'extend' version with a similiar mid pronounciation it may become expensive. I have no idea for...

Re: Anyone into Eventide VST Plugins?

... Empressor is great, so is of course the H3000, some nice modulators and harmonizers. All in all a very nice bundle I couldn't afford at $1200 full price, but I paid around $250 in total, which is extremely good value! Not really impressed by the reverbs as well... But, I must say the Soundtoys ...

Re: Does anyone have experience with protools and scope?

well, extremely late response, but as I just put something like that together recently... I have a G3 Powermac (under OS-9) with 2 TDM cards and an 882/20 interface running Pro Tools 5.1, great (and simple to setup) as an FX-unit. With the Digidesign Adat Bridge interface it can be digitally integra...

Re: Why is the old orisis software so expensive?

I agree with Dante and Sounddesigner: the Software was outstanding at it's release time, but today there are more advanced tools available (in asimiliar price range). Algorythmix obviously found their niche and have few reasons to change price policy. I also agree with you that MAKING music is the m...

... I personally think Sonic Core should buy the rights from John Bowen and make it work for XITE-1 and re-release it. Re: Going for a new computer - please, some help will be coo

I've learned that I have to learn ... ;) sticking with SAW Studio all the time - it looks kind of shabby but is the least eyestress of them all DAWs really took a while to find out the software doesn't have to act according to your own very first idea about a topic... because there may be better or ...

Re: Ageing card symptoms

way too far back in time
but be assured whenever I had this idea of 'caps may be aged', it NEVER changed a thing
(and I really had this idea more than a couple of times, not restricted to Scope cards) :D

Re: Ageing card symptoms

don't bother with caps - I suspected them a couple of times, ALL false alarms
on a Scope card those caps are just buffers for current, not functionally involved like in a preamp
the boards are quite hard to desolder, good chances to damage instead of repair...

Re: Where is VOID Synthesizer? Not in store aviable?

in past times many developers just used the method of adding the customer's name to the GUI without any further means of protection who buys such synth today must be an honest person by nature - imo that works quite well I'm using SAW Studio for years and they are still in business not big, but prob...

Andi means the mechanical 'click' you feel when you insert the optical cable ;) some connectors indeed don't fit very well into the back frame of the card a card may be positioned slightly asymmetric - can be corrected by untightening the card, insert the cable an re-tighten in that position or a di...

Re: Why does Sonic core Do No Marketing?

for years I've spent thousands on plugins (and that's not literally), just to see the suppliers go out of business... Scope has a technically brilliant background, but it just doesn't integrate smoothly into current DAW environments it's way too demanding... just consider DSP assignment on one hand ...
