Re: AMD CPUs Benched

8 cores is yay ! Scope XITE compatibility ? Scope and UAD2 combined take away a MASSIVE load from CPU but Shreddage 3 and Bias Amp don't run on DSP - and they suck up cycles !

Re: I gave up giving up scope and come back, keep the faith!

Scope is so versatile that even when it cant do some functions due to your studio limitations or bad hair days there's always something else it can do that others cant, so will always rise from the ashes if kicked down.

20 x MV is more than I ever got - depending on sample rate of course. Still, its a good number.

Re: An Experiment with 3 scope cards ( seems to be working)

Looks awesome ! There might be whitecoat testing methods such as loading up Masterverbs or adding polyphony to synths to find croak points but just try building the normal projects you would want to use - eg test it musically.

Re: Is scope Plattform dead?

I spend zero time configuring Scope. Its the same every project - maybe changes once a year. I treat it more or less liked fixed hardware. So if you're always trying to add more devices and connections than it can handle of course that will be time consuming. Have you tried a more static project app...

Re: Is scope Plattform dead?

No. I have Native and UAD and Reason as well as Scope. They are all good at what I use them for. But I'm now in a position that if Scope died in so far as my XITE-1D failed and I couldn't get it fixed, then I could get by without it. Having said that, there would be no real replacement for the John ...

Re: Pci to pci e adapter

Ill see Garyb's 3 slots for Scope PCI - and raise you 2 PCIe slots by adding XITE-1D and a octo-code UAD2 - w/- the ASUS Z87-C

Re: Cracks and Pops - which line filter ?

I would think patters = patterns - and beeing = being :) Terms like 'polar patterns' I've seen in the microphone manual as the direction the mic picks up sound from. e.g. there's a switch on my mic power box where I can select the pick up 'patters' :) What the hell a WiFi device is doing sending Pol...

Re: Cracks and Pops - which line filter ?

I found a post on a Reason or UAD forum that spoke of WiFi causing interference in recording setups, and says the High performance setting stopped the Wifi interference. I tried it - as Ive had this issue for ages now - a little less since buyed the line filter - but still there - and low and behold...

Re: Whats a good USB3 Audio/MIDI Interface ?

Took delivery of the ZOOM UAC-8. Its an awesome piece of kit - although I haven't tested everything on it yet. EG A/D converters, in built DSP etc. In terms of using it WITH Scope - I haven't got it to do everything I wanted. I managed to slave the XITE-1D and PCI Cards at 96KHz using ADAT SMUX and ...

Out of those 2 I like the cool_faxi_pad_1.dev. That's something I could work with / explore ! thanks Faxi.

@DawMan, if you could hook me up with the OBX patch I would be eternally greatful !! (especially if it contained no 3rd party modules).

Re: Any good Modular 4 synth pad patches ?

Yeah I thought of that but then I thought I might as well just use proWave - which is what Ive been doing, but now want to use Modular for what it is and has to offer. EG I've been looking around in here http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/patches.php - but theres nothing past 2012 there, so was wondering...

Re: DAS COEFF11 VxD file missing

The DAS legend was good because of the Voltage Control warmer - but there's plenty of other plugs now that have something like that - both native and DSP. Console yourself that in using another EQ you will get the missing band back (7 Khz - 10 Khz) not covered by the Legend :)

Any good Modular 4 synth pad patches ( e.g. OBX ) ?

Now that my XITE-1D is a dedicated 96Khz synth machine (mainly proWave) - are there any decent Modular 4 pad patches - I have the old Pad Machine one half ported from modular 3 - but looking for something more like a proWave synth pad - and using all Mod 4 modules if possible. This way the XITE-1D w...

Re: DAS COEFF11 VxD file missing

It will work on Win7 because Win7 pre-dates the Microsoft Windows 8 KB update that broke it. That issue carries thru to Win10 as well unresolved.
