Re: Reactive load boxes

All the stuff about voltage and current being 90 degrees out of phase is white coat stuff for me, but I understand the importance of getting the loads/impedance right (emulated or classic) at every stage of the c...

Re: Reactive load boxes

Rocktron - I remember wanting a VooDu valve processor years ago. But I probably already had the digitech valvefx by then.

If I get into anything reactive loaded it will be complete chain - so won’t involve a real amp or cab to blow up.

Reactive load boxes

Anyone here any experience ? Reading about UAD’s OxBox lead me to research similar on market. Concluded that a bedroom warrior such as myself after the ultimate in guitar realism could plug guitar into amp (real or modelled) and the output would be as if the amp were driving speaker cabinets (which ...

Re: Star Cycle (Jeff Beck) - featuring proTone x 3

I've just recently 'Harrisonized' this one - came out pretty good. Here's to you JoPo… looked to the stars and thought of you when doing this, and my best testament to JB's proTone - the worlds no. 1 lead (and apparently bass) synth.

Re: Windows 7 64bit - any incompatible devices?

XTC mode development was ceased when it was released for Scope v3. it was an abortion from the start since the cards were never made to work that way. development has resumed, we'll see if it's possible. it is NOT a driver issue. Interesting to know in what respect. We know Sharc power can be deplo...

Re: Jazz Never Dies - 35th Aniversary Remix

Now Remixed / Remastered using Harrison Mixbus, UAD2, Shreddage 2 and other updated technologies.

First recorded this on a 4 track Tascam Portatudio in 1984 with a cheap guitar with Boss pedals, Yamaha CX5 and a Yamaha DX7 and lots of bouncing.

Re: WHEN A NEW 64 BIT SAMPLER ?

I believe not because there’s a dependency on on AKAI DLL that’s 32 bit only.

This has been discussed previously here

Re: XITE-1 PC CONFIGURATION REFERENCE

Coolness. According to that post mixbus doesnt care about hyperthreads, only FPU's (normally one per core). Since Mixbus looks for a core (or FPU) per bus then max it can use is 12 core/FPU (since it has 12 busses). Ultimately I should maybe get a 12 core system in that case.

Re: XITE-1 PC CONFIGURATION REFERENCE

My i7 4790k now is @ 50% ror my common workload. Extra cores even hyperthreading just diminishes the focus audio apps need on faster GHz and brute strength. At least for now. My i7 4790 peaks out on Harrison Mixbus 32C sometimes (@96Khz). Could be all the circuit modelling. Not that it's critical s...
