new system for Xite 1D
hi there, It's been a while, here on the forums, but also on my Scope rig. I've been doing music mostly on a mac laptop in Ableton, and my Scope machine has been in atOm his studio for a while. Decided to let him have the computer with the PCI cards, and only keep the Xite 1D in a new machine. It wi...

Re: Can someone help me fatten up Alaska ?
Someone should start an online service called 'Super Synth Rent Render' where you pay to upload a MIDI and get sent back a 96Khz wav rendered on your choice of provider's boutique H/W synth collection. look around for a bit, and you'll find a studio like this one: https://soundgas.com/studio/soundg...

Re: External (non-Scope) tools of our trade
will check those 2mgt generators when I get my windows machine back (atOm has mine now), although the demo tracks sounded way too clean and new age to my taste. I'm always amazed what paulstretch pulls out of its hat: https://xenakios.wordpress.com/paulxstretch-plugin/ In the same vein, https://www....

Re: mandatory inserts ?
Well, some context might help. What genre are you producing? Something electronic? Or rather a more rock/traditional oriented style? A drum sound as if played by a drummer? Mechanical? Some names as reference will get you better advice. Maybe it's not so much the processing, but the drum programming...

I strongly suspect you're asking about a real drum kit. If so, check House of Kush videos and try to port his workflow/choice of devices to Scope:

Are you mates with Dago? Just talked to him a few weeks ago at a concert in Antwerp (Het Bos).malyessarah71 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 9:34 am A mate I haven't seen in a while is Clavia/Roli rep for Benelux.

Re: MultiTrackStudio - DAW supports MIDI 2 and MPE
well, for what it's worth, I enjoy drawing MPE curves over some ambient chords/pad in Ableton with Wavetable. Just beautiful... It won't take too long before more budget friendly/smaller keyboards will hit the market. A mate I haven't seen in a while is Clavia/Roli rep for Benelux. Maybe he can hook...

Re: Hardware replacements, time to downsize!
yeah, I remember you being a true advocate of this synth. it's especially the feedback thing that interests me. I'm a sucker for unruly sounds!
I would settle for Wavelength's SparC as a favorite, although I also like C4T a lot as well.

Re: 8-voice for PC
wasn't lounge lizzard AAS? TAL does great stuff, loving their SH01 Bassline synth. anyway, the click-a-dee-click and knob twiddling techno kids thank you for the heads up on the 8-voice! ;-) had heaps of fun tonight with just a 4/4 909 kick and one instance of 8V. it hits the CPU quite hard, but it ...

never heard of it... the only thing I found was "upgradable to TripleDAT", with a price around 600$ in 1998, but that's it.

Re: Scope plugins and signal levels.
Well, it could matter, and Music Manic has a valid question. Some 'Analogue Modeled Plugins' or whatever they call it, do depend on the levels you feed them, just as the original hardware would. As opposed to most plugins where -18 and +18 equal 0. Vintage compressors and EQs that color the sound de...

Re: Questions about Scope and Mac OS9
[1] What PCI cards are compatible with the G4/OS9 ? Perhaps the better question is, which PCI cards are NOT compatible? [2] Is Scope 4.5 the last version available for OS9? Is it the recommended version for OS9? [3] I know that commercial plugins are locked to a specific card. Will I only be able t...

Re: How many of you use several scope PS at the same time?
The main purpose of it is to run Osiris XP to do near real time reduction of all the hiss/noise from my analog synths, modular stuff etc. funny, I always add noise. plugins with noise parameter (ableton live's Echo is nice), in some cases I even have a dedicated track for just background noise. If ...
