Re: Xite1 for sale

Hi all Decided to sell my Xite-1 a while back but didn't get any serious offers so listing it again. The unit has had no more than 20 hours use and is in new condition. It was bought for a live project that never took off and is now gathering dust. (not really cos it's in its original packaging and...

Or there may be a 3 DSP / 6 DSP board that is on the cheap - Then you could learn Scope sooner !
Thank you fraz.

I don't know atm what I'll end up getting; anyway I'll keep that in mind.

Re: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4

Hi Paprika, Do you own an Xite? - Planning to buy one? Hi Fraz, I have no Xite. I am planning to get into Scope; either through PCI or Xite. PCI cards are very old now and may have been used lots and lots so from that point of view and Xite would be best. Cost is an issue with Xite as they are expe...

Re: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4

Yes probably, all "in between" versions of Windows really sucked.... 95 okay, 98 bad, 98se good, windows millenium bad, winxp good, vista bad, win7 good, win8 bad, win10 dunno...starting to see a pattern here  I am desperate to try win11 and prove your theory is wrong :) Wish me luck...

Re: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4

Hello Paprika, 4790K is socket LGA 1150 Z97 etc.... 5820K is socket LGA 2011 v3 X99 There isn't a big difference between the two - 5820K is 6 cores where 4790K is 4 cores - Both CPU's overclock really well if you want to do this - Some people do, some don't! - I haven't yet but I might in the futur...

Re: Help me make a new "Scope friendly" build

For me is a matter of maintaining compatibility in the future.
Eg. DDR3 will dissapear sooner than DDR4. If my MOBO dies 5 years from now; it will be easier to find a z170 than a z77 (LGA 1155)

Re: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4

Given the massive cost increase for Xeon components (CPU, RAM, motherboard etc), such a small improvement for a few extra cores is hardly worth it. I should know, I use multiple Xeon class systems (both Supermicro based Windows systems that I built by hand, and Mac Pro's that were obviously not bui...

Re: Help me make a new "Scope friendly" build

Z170s were tried 3 times and wouldn't keep the ASIO Driver reporting. But that was using Bidule and Reaper. Can pretty much guarantee the Z97s work. I have 3 builds I use depending on the job. Outdoor rig, indoor rig and travel rig. All ASRock Z97 Extreme 6 Supermicro Asus and MSI all work. Ok, so ...

Help me make a new "Scope friendly" build

So, I want to make a new build with Windows 10 64bit and I am looking for options. I am between a Z170 and Z97 build. Z170 pros: -3 PCI ports mobos can be found. -Compatible with PCI cards. Z170 cons: -Not friendly with Xite-1. Z97 pros: -compatible with Xite-1 and PCI cards. Z97 cons: -Only 2 PCI p...

Re: New to Scope

Zarg Solaris on XITE is underated, especially since there is also Solaris Core, a stripped down version of the full flagship Solaris. There are workarounds to take advantage of and yes the Zargs are fat bastards. Here for more info and on QWave as well for running them on the XITE-1D (let alone the...

Re: New to Scope

And 98% of devices run on either new or older sharc DSPs. The new ones are backward compatible with the old code...they simply run faster and more efficiently to get the large improvement in performance. Only a select few devices have a *harder* time running on the xite. Like Zarg stuff... which I'...

I am running an entire live band with the XITE-1. Just 2 Black Lion Audio ADA8200s modified and 3 x hardware FX. Plus all of my ASIO Samples, hardware analog synths, Solaris and select Native synths like Zebra2 HZ, Piano Teq and Keyscape. Great sound. Everyone says great sound; guess I'll have to c...
