Re: PCI Overflow Problem

asiofixer, everything shares IRQs now, it's all virtualized and there's no actual PCI controller anymore, even that is software. Please chill on the posting, we appreciate that you're back but GaryB has my permission and license to put you on ice again if this persists.

Re: PCI master overflow

catscratch, First thing I do when suspecting power delivery issues, or a power impact to devices, is to check my voltage readouts under load and at idle. Idle can be checked in BIOS/EFI usually, but under load you'll need something to place the load (your normal workflow is acceptable if it's enough...

Re: modular/flexor

It does not. Based on my understanding of Scope, 64bit files would be needed for any async functions that rely on the host computer like delay lines, sample playback, midi operations and so on. This is why the STS samplers and step sequencers may be affected. What Assaf did with flexor was implement...

Re: modular/flexor

with Scope hardware, it's still a great tool even as a stand-alone synth or fx or mixing box using an old computer. This was my meaning. Scope has a place in any studio that could house an external synth, guitar, piano etc. If the goal is to take an iPad on the bus with you, then it's not convenien...

Re: Ensoniq dp4

CD's degrade from exposure to air, the layer that holds the data is the THIN side, and CDR's are even worse as they use a chemical goop that's intended to change with exposure to heat. I've found the same thing, I have floppy disks going back to the early 90's that work fine and much of my CD collec...

Crap, going to have to send back my Kurzweil and JD-800/JV-1000's, not to mention my Virus KB, QSR, Yamaha SPX-SD, FS1r....and so many other things in here. They're never updated!

Scope running strong for 19 years and running (btw I 'updated' to Scope 7 within the last 2 years).

Re: Moving multiple controls with one MIDI knob

In that specific case I would say: 1. If you are seeking to automate a 'vol Att' that sounds more like an 'Amp' to me. 2. Look to some of the better filters on offer for Modular. Some of these may be in the files section of this site, and I also highly recommend 3rd party offerings that extend scope...

Re: Moving multiple controls with one MIDI knob

There's quite a few ways to accomplish this in modular. Might be worth finding one or two more ways just so you understand control signals better.

Create your bookmarks on the taskbar and they're even easier to open when working, or as a quick access folder if you're on Win7/10.

Re: looking for a sync plate

Note I have a syncplate as well, and DO have bnc cable runs. I have tested against ADAT & AES, and found no difference in the last 5 years with all the gear in the same room. Previously I had my computers in a different room, but that was 15+ years ago. Now, in this room there are 4 machines with pr...

Re: looking for a sync plate

I needed bnc in 2003 with 45’ ADAT runs. In 2019 I have not one but two additional machines with RME cards running to my scope box with only ADAT & AES just fine. The cables have improved, dropped in price, and RME’s steadyclock handles sync just fine.

Re: [SOLVED] In Windows 10 Nuendo won't load the ASIO SCOPE PCI ASIO Driver

Plenty of Xite users here, it's the same Scope software after all. Also, I run my Scope cards in a secondary machine, it simplified a lot of this stuff. Using ADAT/AES/SPDIF and MIDI to connect the two is the only real difference. It also means that machine runs as an ASIO host, which lets me run a ...

Re: [SOLVED] In Windows 10 Nuendo won't load the ASIO SCOPE PCI ASIO Driver

Yes. Please keep in mind the era that these cards were sold, and the fact that it still works today is something to be thankful for! How many graphics cards and pro audio cards from 2001/2 are similarly supported for so long? Only RME comes to mind as being similar to what SonicCore has done with th...

No need to respond twice, I gathered that was the case from your previous reply:

Yes, I'm using the Scope v5.1.2709-x64 only.
I'm not using the MOBO onboard sound card.
Windows 10 Pro x64 installation.
Await GaryB, I was merely gathering the requesite information in his absence.

Re: Inverted L/R > R/L from Wave Source audio signal

That's because it's using ASIO, I would presume. Correct? And you didn't clarify 32bit or 64bit for Win/Scope. Your answer likely lies there, but... To be clear, we have to eliminate the variables we don't know on the other side of the screen, before providing an answer that fits a particular case. ...
