Re: Mod on LM1086 at LUNA2

I put the card in my backup PC. It works. I just had some hassle importing the keyfile. It first seems not to be imported by the SFP4.5 installation. I had to start SPF after "failed" installation and found the keys imported. May that has nothing to do with the mod on LM1086 - but anyhow i...

Mod on LM1086 at LUNA2

Hello there! I got an Luna 2 card as a gift. The card is may defective. I noticed, that the power regulator LM1086 got some mods in the past. There are some SMD resistors or capacitors soldering in between the pins. Is it an official mod or something else? May someone know something about it? http:/...

Re: power consumption of scope pro and pulsar 2's

Hi, there! So my adventure with the Magma PCI Extpansions didn't work out. Well old hardware, but to many versions/variations of those expansions... I was never sure is the box, cable, interface and so on working or not... Then the adaption to my expresscard-interface of my laptop... ;/ I also teste...

Re: How to identify the plate on my card?

The problem is that I sell some of my five cards and now I'm not sure, that the plate and the breakout cable are from same type... ;( Used allways ADATs, so it was easy to grab the wrong one...

How to identify the plate on my card?

Hey there! Have a nice 2018! ;) I have to reconnect my audio. And I'm a bit lost. I have some cards and some breakout (with and without XLR) cables. Well there are two common types of plates standard and plus (XLR). How to identify those plates right way? Can I do it without pulling the plate of fro...

64 DSPs / 4x Cards in one PC

Hey, there!

It seems that some one has used four cards in one system: http://www.ebay.de/itm/122744406450

So for me is this thread about technical stuff, not an ad. I'm not related to the seller.

Cheers, Andreas

Re: power consumption of scope pro and pulsar 2's

May anyone knows if Creamware PCI cards would work in PCI-x 64 Bit 5V Magma expansions? As I know PCI-X 64bit 5Volt Slots loads also 32bit 5Volt PCI Cards... Creamware Cards are 5V 32Bit PCI... Not sure if I put a Creamware card in an 64bit 5V PCI-X slot my card is running at right 33MHz ... Any Ide...

Re: power consumption of scope pro and pulsar 2's

I read about all the difficulties from anabella and other users here. I just try to get smoother workflow with the external SFP machines. I have already two of them with 5 cards in proper Gigabyte mainboards. But my main computer is a laptop (which I have to move regularly) with PT11 & Premiere ...

DIY-Mod: Two synts in one case?

Hey, there! I would put the interior of two Ensoniq synths (both TS12 and both with a defective damn heavy 76-keys keyboard) in one big 19" rack case. Could it bring some electrical problems? May some one did similar stuff in the past already? Any help is appreciated! http://www.frtg.de/foren/t...

@all: Thanks! @anabella: I just sequence the CW cards from my MacBook (@ Logic 9) via midi cable ;) Quite old school, maybe... So the PC just have WinXP, Scope 5.1 and just a fan/temperature monitoring software. Wait... I also use Synergy (LAN is on also) for sharing my mouse & keyboard. Never h...

Re: PCI-Master-Abort at nearly max. load of DSP Meter

I did, what Nestor did in the last post. Cleaning the contacts (PCI and STDM) with rubber and then (yes, Garry :) with a good commercial contact cleaner. I put also an additional fan close to the three boards. My system stress-test ;) with twelve instances of Modular 2 (Industrial loop) was fine but...
