Re: SCOPE 5.1
I'll hold my water for a bit longer. Not that I've become a believer overnight, but laziness and procrastination will account for a few weeks anyway.

Re: SCOPE 5.1
Well here it is July, and still no promised Scope 64, and my Xite-1 is no better than a doorstop to me. Maybe August? Maybe never? I'm getting real close to giving up and putting my Scope cards and Xite on Ebay, so they can be useful to those who don't need to operate in 64 bit. What a disappointmen...

Re: Creamware-Sonic Cor
Here is what I don't understand: Virtually every person who has an interest in Scope based products visits Planet Z. It has been around forever, and it is a major information source for Scope users and prospective users, and thus is an invaluable marketing resource for Sonic Core. Yet they largely i...

Re: SCOPE 64 Bit beta..........?
again, lost in my rant is that it is NOT JUST THE DRIVER at stake. the WHOLE program must be rewritten for EVERY new os. that is the delay. a program that literally NO ONE else in the business can write, must be rewritten. it's a big job and for the most part it's for free. people should stop being...

Re: Review of X-ite 1? Coming back to Scope?
Right now, I'm grumpy with S/C and their inability to provide timely x64 drivers. I had to move to Win7/64 for development reasons so I shut down my now useless Xite-1 went back to my reliable, trusty Emu 1212m, which has had Vista x64 drivers for a year or more, and they work fine in Win7/64. So I ...

Re: Xite-1 on Gigabyte X58 motherboard
There is a new BIOS for this MB, F9P. Still labeled Beta. I installed it and it works fine with both Xite- and PCI cards, both running at once.

Re: Chaos LFO's.....Lorenz & Rössler Attractors
The Mod4 chaos modules produce audio control, values from -1 to 1, like the LFOs, the same value range as audio but at a slower rate. So your problem is how to get these values out to a file. Once it's in a file - most any kind of file - then ArtWonk can import it via its DataBin module. You may be ...

Re: Chaos LFO's.....Lorenz & Rössler Attractors
If you want to get down and dirty with fractals and attractors, use them to pump MIDI out to Scope for pitch, velocity, whatever; or to look at graphs of them in 2d (or 3d projections onto a 2d screen), or do both at once, my ArtWonk does all this. It's algorithmic, after all. The player with a ton ...

Re: Mod 2 or Mod III ?
I like Modular III because the presets are consistent with the rest of Scope (and for me a lot easier to use), and because of that great 16 knob remote. When you've more or less finished a patch, pick the main "key frame" controls and assign and label them, and then forevermore you have a ...

ArtWonk v4.0 released
My algorithmic music program, ArtWonk, has a major upgrade and is now available for download. Full manual is also online, available from the home page. Lots of new stuff, including a HUGE library of fractals. Both as regular modules, and as function modules and Packages done as a post doc research g...

Re: Woohoo. New versions
I was hoping to switch over to Windows 7/64 around now, before Christmas break. But given that they released this rather weak update last week, I'm guessing there will be no x64 version for a while. Probably not until next year sometime. It's bad enough that Scope is the only software that is keepi...

Re: Mobo advice asked for 3 scope professional cards
I had a DFI also, a DFI LP LT X48-T2R, and it was great for my 3 long cards, until lightening hit the house. The cards survived but the power supply and MB didn't. Haven't gotten around to seeing if the chip survived.
