Three Years Later...

I haven't been around here in a while. I take it there have been no updates or any activity whatsoever in regards to Scope 7?

Re: De-Vice' Plug-ins AVAILABLE HERE BY DONATION

I had the Level-Devil plugin. Used it a lot back in the day. Not sure it works with XITE (initial experiments with older plugins mostly resulted in heartache so I just stopped using them). But I have to tell you a funny story. Years ago, I had a recording session going on with some sort of Christian...

Re: One Year Later...

Right. I shoulda mentioned the BNC thing. Nothing to do with Z-Link although in a round about way it does. I started out with Z-Link - from day one all the way back to the Pulsar cards. It wasn't until I got XITE and had problems with Z-Link that I switched over to ADAT and A16 as master clock. I wa...

One Year Later...

Ya ok so I bought V7 when it came out almost a year ago. Installed it, played with it for about 5 minutes, until I realized I couldn't clock the darn thing from my A16 at which point I uninstalled it from my system and went back to V5.

Can I get my money back? Asking for a friend.

Re: Atx quiet cooling systems.

Regarding power supplies. Do you guys ever take stock of the wattage requirements of your entire PC system? Ever added up the numbers? You'd be surprised how fast they add up. I have a 650 watt PS in my system. I bought it originally with no math. Just blind faith it would be enough. Seems to be ok ...

Re: Atx quiet cooling systems.

I'm coming in late on the conversation but this topic is near and dear to my heart. Even more so now because I'm taking an A+ hardware certification class at my local community college. The text book I bought for the class is a most excellent resource for all things hardware related. I would recomme...

Re: Merits of going 24bit/96khz?

I have to check mixes on that stupid little hole in the bottom of the iPhone now. I've been doing this for almost 20 years. Hundreds and hundreds of artists. In all that time not a single person has asked me to record at 96kHz. I've never received any files from other studios recorded at 96kHz. I'm ...

Re: Analog inputs

Radial Engineering has a lot of solutions for this sort of thing (signal and level converters) that usually incorporate transformer isolation. I have two keyboard/synths here and they both provide unbalanced output via TS jacks. As a result, they're both rather anemic when it comes to signal level. ...

Re: Xite Zlink ?

Isn't that a proprietary interface from Creamware? I wasn't aware that anything other than an A16 (ultra) works with Z-Link.

In any event.... good luck! ;-)

Re: Scope 7

There have been shoot-outs with various master clock products over the years and the results always seemed to indicate the better the clock the better the sound. But I've also seen reviews that conflicted with that viewpoint. The question was whether it was better to clock from an external device vs...

Re: Scope 7

As far as XITE/A16 is concerned, BNC word clock works fine with V5.1 Scope. It's broken with Scope 7. Did you also try w/ a single A16 (Ultra) and XITE-1, using Z-Link and/or ADAT only, no BNC connected at all ? Does that work at least, SCOPE 7 32Bit and/or 64Bit ? I understand, when using both,- Z...

Re: Scope 7

Is BNC wordclock broken for Xite, Scope or both? The reason I'm asking is because my wordclock card doesn't show up *at all*, and I would guess this is the bug and it affects Scope? I do see a 'Src 6' & 'Src 7' attached to the first Pulasr2 card, and I've never seen that before. As far as XITE/...

Re: Scope 7

yeah, writing in to SC support would help, if you are not going to use the bug tracker. at least that might give you or the programmer the chance to find the cause and fix it. Noted. I wasn't 100% sure it was a legitimate bug. I wont have any other things to report from this version since I can't a...
