Re: STS 4000 x64

Will Kontacky load AKAI samples ? If not, Reasons In built samplers will. Kontacky (nice slang b.t.w. ) loads AKAI (and EMU and whatelse) but doesn´t sound like an AKAI sampler at all,- also not like a EMU. I converted a s##tload of AKAI CDs w/ CD-Xtrakt for usage in Halion 2 and later in Kon...

Re: RME raydat AND scope connected together!

Totalmix has always bee present on RME cards, ... No,- "pre HDSP" RME cards had no DSP, consequently no Totalmix. My old and trusty RME Hammerfall 9652 p.ex.,- which is different from RME Hammerfall HDSP 9652. The "non HDSP" cards still run RME Digicheck though. And yes, I used to run SCOPE PCI bi-...

PCI overflow is a limitation of the PC and "no more sat connections" is a limit of the Sharcs.

which dsps are loaded can really affect the sat limit...

remember this map?
Yes, I do,- but it didn´t help always.

Re: DSP Overload message

it's not significant. both are beyond the practical limit. ah ... o.k. ... in any case, PCIe generally does not have the issue. the whole drama of PCI overflow is certainly based around PCI cards. So, when messages like "no more (SAT) connections between DSP X and DSP Y" appear,- this has nothing t...

Re: DSP Overload message

graphics are not usually a problem in current systems. Good to know ´cause I wondered if usage of a dedicated graphics card OR the GPU (inside CPU) might make a difference. And,- according to my second to last post,- I still wonder why there are such differences in masterverb test results possible ...

I updated to windows 10 and nothing has changed for me.
Now I´m surprised ...
Did you find a way/hack supressing the always present demand of automatic updates and/or being connected to the web ?

IronAxe guitar plugin sounds VERY good to me. ...
This ironaxe is definitely buy worthy for me so far anyways.
Yes, sounds good, but it´s always best to play such VI w/ a MIDI-guitar.
I´d wait until it´s version 2.0 and 64Bit compatible.

Re: DSP Overload message

And our legacy 'IRQ sharing' issues are also a thing of the past with PCIe, which is really another way of saying the same thing :) Ehmmm ... what´s up w/ the USB controllers sharing IRQ w/ XITE PCIe card ? Or graphics card and driver ? Or M.2 NVME PCIe x4 drives,- which sometimes (system dependend...

Re: DSP Overload message

Masterverb test doesn´t count for XITE-1 Bud :) because PCIe has a bunch more bandwidth... So, you say it still makes sense performing the masterverb test on XITE ? IIRC, I got the same result dawman posted some time ago,- 60 masterverb /XITE-1,- even on my old WinXP machine,- ASUS P5WD2 Premium, I...

Re: Could this be the Shreddage Killer ?

I remember saying to DawMan just a few years ago that the only way to get a good guitar sound is with a guitar. I really think that´s true,- as it is for a violin. The expressivity is extremely complex. But I'm somewhat reversed on that position now. You cant get a real guitar sound/performance wit...

Re: Could this be the Shreddage Killer ?

Well this vst guitar is a crutch, yes it's a better one than all others, but as a guitar player.... I keep my shoes on. Synthesizers are synthesizers and guitars are guitars. I don´t even know if you´re a good guitar player. Most are posers. I know lots of guitar players I´d never use in a band, on...

V7 On xp here. Seems to work better than 5. Only progress I want is some of the bugs fixed ( such as seq issues and sts weirdness). Other than that it does what it needs to do. Can’t really see what “progress” is actually needed. When you installed SCOPEv7,- 32Bit I guess,- on XP, did it run flawle...
