Re: No more connections from DSP....

Thanks everyone for the ideas and responses. I have moved all of my reverbs out of the mixer and gotten to about 40% DSP load before running out of connections, but at least I am now running 6 MasterVerb Pros, 2 RMX-160s, and 4 OptiMasters, and making some impressive racket with it all chained up in...

Re: 2 questions about xite-1

Here's a few other options outside of Scope that are specifically suited for live use. Prices are used prices. Peavey MediaMatrix X-Frame ($150 USD) Best deal ever in audio processing, even considering this is 15 years old. Don't let the Peavey name fool you, MediaMatrix stuff is installed in some o...

Re: MADI

Voted... MADI would open Scope up for use with digital mixing consoles in live environments. When I did broadcast mixes on the Soundtracs DS-00 (DiGiCo D5 designed for post-production use) all I could think of is being able to link the two together. I would like to be able to use Scope in a live set...

Re: Sonic Time Works reverb plugins still available somehow?

@dawman
Ugh... Kontakt...

Info on the web dating from 2004 suggests these plugs were "ported" from the Lexicon equipment, apparently that is not the case. I really like the SC-Plate.

MADI

I would love to see a MADI interface for that expansion port on the back... Xite with the SSL AlphaLink would be awesome.

Re: best reverbs for scope?

I find myself using the SC-Plate a lot for vocals. I like the E-Relector for adding some thickness to synthesizers without being very noticeable. For creative reverb, I like the RMX-160 using the modulation. I am still on the fence with the MasterVerb, but my past is so steeped in Lexicon usage I ca...

Re: Best "modern" PC for old PCI cards

Lately I have been liking the HP XW6600 workstation. It isn't the most "modern" but it is very powerful and has 2 PCI slots. They can be had for about $250 used. They are a very quiet machine, you can load up tons of RAM, quad core Xeons. It's a great system for running all sorts of things...

Re: No more connections from DSP....

This is the first time I was aware Scope works in Windows 8. That is new information. I don't see any mention of Windows 8 support on the website, and have heard through unofficial channels that Windows 8 is not supported at this time, and there was no mention of anything different on the Sonic Core...

Re: No more connections from DSP....

@Gary Thanks for your response. I will try rebuilding my entire Scope project from the ground up. I have in the past used reverbs in the Aux slots, because that makes sense and keeps things organized, and the documentation doesn't say not to, unless I missed that part. I have relocated my reverbs to...

Re: No more connections from DSP....

@Bud Thanks for your reply. I am mixing in Scope, so I am sending audio down ASIO and using the Scope mixer to mix with. I use MIDI automation in my DAW to control the mixer. I much prefer the insert effects in Scope over the ones in Cubase. Channels 1-24 on the 4896 are my ADAT and XLR inputs from ...

Re: No more connections from DSP....

I am pretty set on selling it but I am going to wait until I see the Sonic Core guys at the NAMM show in a few weeks. If I can get some of my issues resolved I may change my mind.

Re: No more connections from DSP....

I found a forum post about the DSP allocation. I tried rearranging everything several ways, and it didn't improve things much. I have the ASIO on DSP 2, the audio I/O on DSP 1, and the STM 4896 on DSP 7. I removed the reverb processors I had in the auxes within the mixer and moved them outside and s...

Re: No more connections from DSP....

I am running at 44.1kHz with an Apogee AD-16X as the master clock connected via ADAT and BNC for wordclock. Both cables are 3' long. The XLR outs go to my monitors. I don't have anything else hooked to it, the AES is unused and the line and mic ins are all unused. I have 24 channels of ASIO I/O setu...

No more connections from DSP....

I have never been able to get my Xite past about 25% DSP load... I have had it for about two years and have been frustrated with it for a very long time. I am running a STM 4896, 2 control rooms, 24 channels of ASIO in, 24 channels of ASIO out, one RMX-160, one MasterVerb Pro, one SC-Plate and one S...

Wow, these are a long way sonically from the PCM algorithms they claimed to be back in 2004!

Sonic Time Works reverb plugins still available somehow?

I am wondering about the status of the old Sonic Timeworks STW P-100 and related plugins. Their website doesn't mention them anymore, and the last reference I can find on the web is 8 years old. Are they still around? Any good? I am looking at buying a Lexicon PCM 81 and PCM 91 for my rig and read t...

Re: Are you producing Electro / Dance Pop type music using S

I am in active development of a dance electronica project using Scope Xite 1. The project has really caused me to discover and work with the effects more than ever, and the synths much less. Scope has enabled me to get rid of one 24 space shock rack FULL of effects and samplers, many of them very hi...

Re: Scope x86 under Win64 ?

I've attempted installing the 32 bit Scope software on x64, it did not work for me, but you got me thinking about it again now. I tried a lot of different ideas to get around this and have not had any luck yet. It's a real bummer the 64 bit doesn't work 100%, because everything else on that machine ...
