Re: So...no news from Musikmesse?

Sorry didn't read all the pages. What strange place for such an important announcement to be buried.

Of, course, it is not an announcement, I guess, but something whispered at a trade show.

What a strange company.

Re: So...no news from Musikmesse?

What thread are you reading?

The one I was directed to had this to say:

"There's nothing official regarding the release date of the XITE, but.................."

Is there another thread somewhere that you are getting info from, or are you getting PM's to this effect?

Re: So...no news from Musikmesse?

Not to be a jerk, but taking orders is easy.

No disrespect to Mr. Bowen et al, but they have been taking orders for the Solaris for quite some time now, and yet still the actually delivery date keeps getting pushed back.

I don't find this news to be all that indicative of anything.

Re: So...no news from Musikmesse?

I must be stupid, where in that thread does it mention an exciting announcement?

Also, I presumed that Scope 5 and XITE were to be released together, my error I suppose.

Re: So...no news from Musikmesse?

I gather that SC has made no major announcements at the show? Not correct - there will be an announcement - a very good one indeed. There's additional information in an another thread. Does this mean it's going to be another year before we see the new Scope? It's getting harder and harder to stay e...

It's getting harder and harder to stay excited about this as the days and months and years go by...

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

I can't imagine them moving a thousand units...not unless they have a completely new marketing strategy. Creamware was one of the best kept secrets in the North American audio world. I don't know how they did in Europe, but they are almost completely unknown on this side of the puddle...maybe that w...

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

Moe than anything else I am annoyed that they simply don't tell us anything. We are, by any standards, an incredibly loyal user base. We are the ones who will proselytize to our fellow musicians and recordists upon the product release. In essence our enthusiasm could be the primary marketing tool fo...

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

At what point does one give up hope? I'm not a software engineer, nor do I play one on TV, but...you have to wonder what kind of a problem it is that takes over a year to address and repair. What could possibly have happened to introduce this kind of delay? I know all the fan boys will tell me that ...

Re: Memo : Holger Drenkelfort / John Cooper

Why the hell would John Cooper have any special insight into this?

He runs a website, not the company.

Maybe you should e-mail/phone Sonic Core and ask them instead of making a demanding post on a public forum.

Best of luck.

I'm assuming you mean the ADAT light pipe cables? Not firewire...but, I may be wrong. Is z-link firewire? Found a bunch of different answers on Google search. http://www.google.ca/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&q=ADAT+CABLES+MAXIMUM+LENGTH&...

Re: what would you buy with ten grand buget?

So the budget does not include a computer and software, just external hardware? What about monitors? Are we just talking about a microphone or two, a quality pre-amp, and AD/DA convertor? From what I understand about the Xcite/Scope 5 preliminary pricing that will take the better part of your $10,00...

Re: what would you buy with ten grand buget?

Need lots more info. How will the studio be used? What is it's primary purpose? Live tracking? Will you need to be able to record real drums? MIDI composition only? Do you want to use a mixer as an input device? Do you prefer to mix in the software or do you like to use a external board? Or will eve...

Hi Larry.

I am using Sonar 5PE and do not have the problem you are describing.

Seems like very odd behaviour.

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

I guess that countdown clock was not official...just happened to be posted at their website so I thought it might mean something, my mistake. Wasn't it originally announced to be released at the end of last year? Or am I also imagining that... Maybe I am just imagining the whole thing...and you are ...

Re: Info about the release of SCOPE XITE-1 and SCOPE 5

All true. Still, they would have been better off not repeatedly announcing fictitious release dates and getting everyone's hopes up. That's how they pissed me off. Don't say one thing and then do another! Would have been much better to say nothing and then surprise us. Anyway, I guess we shall all s...
