Re: Ocean Swift - Aeolian Meditation VSTi / Standalone OUT NOW!

Some hint for those who don't get any sound out of aeolian on bank b and c: You have to load the bank into the standalone version, then change midi channel for each preset to 1. Save the bank. Now you can load this bank also into the vsti-version. ( .. which doesn't have the midi-channel-button) I u...

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

Although you have to respect, that there's no official support for this from M$, there is hope. :D
See attached screenshot for my combination. ( unpatched systems show something like 3.5GB, no matter how much RAM there is.)

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

PAE is only needed for 32 bit. ( which is nice, if you want to use some legacy SW) A famous patch tool ( for earlier Win7-kernels was 4GB-RAMPatch-Multilingual-12.7.2010.exe ). All Win7-32 could handle up to 64GB, but M$ limited the usable RAM to 2GB (home) and 4GB ( prof). For the server-versions o...

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

PAE allowes to use up to 64GB on 32 bit windows. Unfortunately, nvidia drivers won't work after a certain date. This way I can use 16GB on Win7-32, which is a nice combination of running legacy software and virtual machines, too. ( But scope isn't that memory hungry, that you need PAE on a pure scop...

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

I run scope 7 ( 5.1 before) on Win7-32 with PAE-Patch. No windowsupdates since 5 years.
never change a running systems. the updates usually bring more spying functions and restrictions.

Re: Ocean Swift - Polyphenom Advanced Hybrid Synth

I worked through the very great presets with the standalone win32-version.
Here I noticed a big latency in the order of 300ms.
Is there some way to improve this or do I have to go the vst-way ?

Re: Ocean Swift - Scope SDK module pack. Intro offer

+1 I have some programming background, but it's hard for me to get into the SDK. I'm missing some sort of index / description what the atoms do. ( Maybe I missed it ?) As I'm just an enthusiast, without plans to make money by programming scopedevices, my goal is to build little useful devices. ( e.g...

Re: 3rd party plugins S|C

As I have two PCs with Scope ( one for messing with the SDK and one for production ), it's a slight disadvantage, that the plugins are locked to hardware instead of my person. On the other hand, I really hate those online-activation-stuff, as I always fear that the license-server will dissappear ( w...

Re: infacing a dedicated DAW pc ?

You got my point. I had some bad stability issues with samplitude X3 and scope, which I couldn't resolve, so I try to get the DAW separated. The Aureon was used with SP/DIF, which I set in the scope settings ( the same window, which allowes to set the sync source). As Aureon failed to receiver data,...

infacing a dedicated DAW pc ?

Still struggling with my DAW, I came to the conclusion that a PC with the DAW should by a unit on its own. This means, it is seperated from the PC with scope. I did a first try with an USB-interface Aureon7.1 linking with adat optical, but the link to scope only worked with the Aureon being the send...

Re: Which sequencer for drumpatterns ?

For a long time I used medsoundstudio as midi-sequencer with cubase VST5 for controler automation and asio tracks. (At the beginning, I used octamed on Amiga4000, which was the most precise sequencer, I ever had.) Although medsoundstudio looked like a toy, it enabled me to easily create sysex-messag...

Which sequencer for drumpatterns ?

I'm addicted to edit drumpatterns in the "trackerstyle", like the early sequencers like octamed offered. Here I can edit similar to text editors what each drum should do. In modern DAW I feel a little lost, as they seem to expect me to record my drums in realtime with the keyboard. Is there a softwa...

Re: bios and windows tweaks

I received some infos, when I bought 5.1.. it's German.

use https://www.winprivacy.de/english-home/ to get rid of all the bloat and spyware, that comes with W10.
A clean W10 system runs quite well, but after each update you have to clean it again. W10 suxx. :-?

Re: 50Hz buzz

I used setup 14, but the cable was 1-conductor shielded. ( so black and green in pic 14 was identical) When using 15, all is quiet again. I also tried a DI-Box, but it didn't help. Probably due to my cabling ? As gary said, I'm happy to find at least one solution, that works. But being a curious per...
