I don't know the software architecture of scope, nor am I familiar with driver development under W10/11, but I did similar stuff with linux.
All control communication runs through the card's driver on the OS-side. Focus is required on DMA-transfers by the card. (Here I wonder, why masterverb works ...

Re: no need to cry after sts samplers, vst does it also better
I never used STS much, but some years ago, I had them running stable under 64bit on a clean installed windows. I had to make sure, that there is no other soundcard in the system, thus disabling all drivers for onboard sound. Unfortunately, I used some other devices (VDAT ?) and a series of ...

Re: HDMI switch
Not sure, what really runs over that HDMI cable. It might be PCIe.
Switching Xite on after PC has booted, is hard to handle. I managed it some times by forcing Win7 to rescan the PCI-bus for new devices, but for 2 years I failed to reproduce. Copyright errors only occur when switching off Xite while ...

As I'm a biased bass addict and no mixing talent yet, I just can compare to other youtube vids.

Re: Weird MIDI issues
I'm running loopmidi and midiox on the same machine as Xite. (W7/32Bit).
MidiOX is great for debugging Midi on OS level.
Does it work when using the software-keyboard within scope ?

Re: Upgrade to win 11 ?
On one of my PCs, I accidentally clicked upgrade to 11 and I just tried it with scope pci. Scope works, but some older audio software didn't work well. For AI applications (using Nvidia drivers), W11 is slower unless you disable a whole bunch of security mechanisms.

Just click channels, then monitor.
Signal comes out on MonL and MonR at the bottom.

Re: Revival or for the first time really….
According to this picture (taken from 2448 manual) you could use monitor to get the direct input to an output.
Aux seems to be affected by inserts, already.
The problem might be, that monitoring works only for a single channel. (two channels would be mixed into one)

Re: Revival or for the first time really….
If your setup with switches works for you, it's ok. There is no right or wrong, you must be able to understand and handle the setup.
In the 2448 mixer, you can add inserts by clicking right on the white insert-label. To listen wet/dry you could either disable the insert by the green button in 2448 ...

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX
I just booted my scope7 pci machine. Phase comp is visible on micromixer and dynamicmixer.
I never noticed, that there are differences in devices between pci and xite.

Good point, Bud. On my micromixer, the phasecomp from Valis' screenshot is not visible. (I used Xite with micromixer X)

Thanks for your insights . As I'm also in permanent danger of "over-effecting", I'll have a closer look at my current chain.

quick amplitude normalisation ?
I'm comparing some effect chains by switching between them using controlroom.
As some effects change the gain, I cought myself prefering the louder effects.
So now I do manual normalisation before comparing.
Is there a way to have quick gain adjustment to a defined level, without changing the audio ...
