Re: switch to next sound ?

I'm not sure how to get exactly +1, as most of the controllers are wheels.
I'll probably have to read the manual of my PCR-M30

switch to next sound ?

I recently bought a Xite1d with some new synths.
Now I want to check out all sound patterns coming with it.

I play with my keyboard , then I have to fetch the mouse to select the next pattern in scope.

Is there a more elegant way to switch to the next pattern ?

Re: Downgrading to Scope 5.1

I had trouble with crackles in the past. At the end it was the use of a (too) cheap Adat-cable.

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

To head towards a bugfix, it would be good to understand, where that "copyprotection error" comes from.
Is Xite completely offline or is it just a short corruption of the communications oder is it something on the host ?
How does that copyprotection work ?

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I experience the same with my XITE-1. On pci I never see copyprotection errors.
If I switch on other devices in the same room, the error often occurs.
I hardly believe, that this is an issue of powersupply. Maybe It's interference to the hdmi-cable ?

Re: Both VCR-S & VRC-128 crash Scope upon device loading

I had this problem when I used my pulsar1 as second card and my pulsar2 as first with Scope V5.
I cannot tell what the reason was, but there is no crash with my scope + pulsar2 under V5 oder V7.

Re: sporadic corruption of midi data by scope

I'll contact S|C with my findings, when I finished my testing. The loss of a Midi-message is a rare event, maybe 1/hour, when the DSPs are loaded quite high. This doesn't keep me from using scope. The reason why I'm tracking this down is, that I'm using my self-programmed sequencer software. Often t...

Re: sporadic corruption of midi data by scope

Time for an update: I programmed some tools, which send a lots of notes into the system of 14 +6 dsp. In the project, I just connected the Midi-source to Midi-dest für the scope and the pulsar2-card. Results so far: There is absolute no error/missmatch if I compare the Midi-in to Midi-thru, so my in...

Re: How to connect XITE 1 to a laptop or mini-pc without Express card

There are pci to expresscard adapters. I guess there are also pcie to expresscard adapters.
Using USB doesn't sound ideal to me, as the basic architecture of drivers is completely different to the pci world.

Re: Wont get fooled again - unless I fool myself

A friend of mine uses all kinds of speakers to get his mixes finished. ( monitor boxes, cheap mobiles, mono bluetooth boxes..)
Is there a strategy to turn headphones into perfect monitoring boxes by compensating their glitches with EQ ?

the host cpu ( intel i5) was at 0%. It was just scope7 running.
The dsp load was at 80%.

Re: sporadic corruption of midi data by scope

I just did more measurements. I replay one normal song several times, while recording the MIDI-thru and the Midi-out of scope. Inside scope, there is a direct connection between scope-midi-a-source and scope-midi-a-dest, no more wires attached to these two. So my expectation is a complete match. I'm...

Re: sporadic corruption of midi data by scope

I don't remember such problems with scope in the old days, when using 3.1 or 4.x. But in the old days, my PC hardware was different and WinXP was alive. @Valid: Do you filter inside scope ( .. like I do ) or before the Midi goes into scope ? I'll do further tests, to get this fixed. There is nothing...

sporadic corruption of midi data by scope

I experienced some hanging notes since years. Now I took the time to trace it down. My scope software is V7. I used IO-Linux and MidiOX to record the midistreams. Result: It is not my midisequencer, it is not my timepiece, it is the scope, which causes corruption. I recorded the midi-through of scop...

Re: RME raydat AND scope connected together!

For me the main feature of the digiseries is the linux kernel driver, so you could use linux in your setup, too.
There is no win64 driver for them, so you can get these cards quite cheap.

Re: small update v7

I updated to windows 10 and nothing has changed for me. Now I´m surprised ... Did you find a way/hack supressing the always present demand of automatic updates and/or being connected to the web ? :) Bud Win10 can be modded into a "normal Windows" with programs like W10privacy or shutdown10. It's a ...

Patchbay for Adat / Z-Link swap ?

As I like to play around with my Xite and the PCI-card, I have to change the ADAT-connectors with Z-Links. Unfortunately, my wires are not always in series, so I have to do some work by hand. It would help, if I could connect my signals to a patchbay on one side and the required interface in the oth...
