Re: Ocean Swift STDM Cables possible production run

As I'm an EE, I can build my own STDM cables, but I'd like to give some hints in case of troubles with STDM: If you get errors in scope concering DSP communications, the cable might me the problem. You could use contact-cleaner spray to clean the contacts inside the STDM-plug and the golden contacts...

Re: Midi Filter Router v4

Hi,
sorry for my slightly offtopic question.
Is it possible to show the BPM of the midiclock with this tool ? Is this tool in combination with an other ?

Re: PCI capacity limit

I use two 9 years old machines ( I5, 8GB ) on winxp and win7-32 without trouble in scope.
But I had severe problems with samX3. Today I mostly use scope 7, which feels as stable as 5.1.
I suggest to try an other DAW to locate the problem.

Samples from Mars into scope ?

I bougth some sample pack from "https://samplesfrommars.com/".
They were delivered in various formats for some popular DAW.

Unfortunately, I'm scope addicted, so I want them to be played by some scope device.
Trying to feed them into the STS5000 didn't work for me.
Is there a way to do it ?

Re: any downsides of short latency ?

Thanks for you help. After playing around, my final result of latency for a roundtrip samX3(rme)->scope->samX3(rme) is 16ms. This seems to be the possible minimum, by adding the asio drivers' latencies: 6+3+3+6 ms = 18ms I found the parameter to compensate these 16ms in samX3, so I can achieve perfe...

Re: any downsides of short latency ?

I tried to connect a second pc with a DAW to my Scope PC. ( I connected with ADAT to an RME-card in my DAW-Pc. (DAW= Samplitude X3)) For tests, I played back a track from my DAW-PC to scope, sent it back to the DAW-PC and recorded it. The interfaces were set to 3ms ( scope) and 6ms ( RME-card). If I...

any downsides of short latency ?

As I used scope for an synth-environment since, I never cared about latency, as long it is constant. I used the maximum latency in ULLI. Now some singers came in an I start caring about latency. Are there some disadvanteges of setting latency to the lowest level ? Do scope-devices recognize what lat...

Re: Ocean Swift - Aeolian Meditation VSTi / Standalone OUT NOW!

Some hint for those who don't get any sound out of aeolian on bank b and c: You have to load the bank into the standalone version, then change midi channel for each preset to 1. Save the bank. Now you can load this bank also into the vsti-version. ( .. which doesn't have the midi-channel-button) I u...

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

Although you have to respect, that there's no official support for this from M$, there is hope. :D
See attached screenshot for my combination. ( unpatched systems show something like 3.5GB, no matter how much RAM there is.)

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

PAE is only needed for 32 bit. ( which is nice, if you want to use some legacy SW) A famous patch tool ( for earlier Win7-kernels was 4GB-RAMPatch-Multilingual-12.7.2010.exe ). All Win7-32 could handle up to 64GB, but M$ limited the usable RAM to 2GB (home) and 4GB ( prof). For the server-versions o...

Re: Scope PCI & Xite

PAE allowes to use up to 64GB on 32 bit windows. Unfortunately, nvidia drivers won't work after a certain date. This way I can use 16GB on Win7-32, which is a nice combination of running legacy software and virtual machines, too. ( But scope isn't that memory hungry, that you need PAE on a pure scop...

I run scope 7 ( 5.1 before) on Win7-32 with PAE-Patch. No windowsupdates since 5 years.
never change a running systems. the updates usually bring more spying functions and restrictions.

Re: Ocean Swift - Polyphenom Advanced Hybrid Synth

I worked through the very great presets with the standalone win32-version.
Here I noticed a big latency in the order of 300ms.
Is there some way to improve this or do I have to go the vst-way ?

Re: Ocean Swift - Scope SDK module pack. Intro offer

+1 I have some programming background, but it's hard for me to get into the SDK. I'm missing some sort of index / description what the atoms do. ( Maybe I missed it ?) As I'm just an enthusiast, without plans to make money by programming scopedevices, my goal is to build little useful devices. ( e.g...

Re: 3rd party plugins S|C

As I have two PCs with Scope ( one for messing with the SDK and one for production ), it's a slight disadvantage, that the plugins are locked to hardware instead of my person. On the other hand, I really hate those online-activation-stuff, as I always fear that the license-server will dissappear ( w...
