is VERY relevant even today with nowadays DAWs - if you want to speed up XTC vst scanning, that is not to click mouse on every plugin load.
... and then revert back to 1 once it's done. thanks kperry!

Re: xtc mode again...
well, there are ways for setup to run properly and install in program files without being right-clicked and chosen to be run as administrator (for a user having admin privileges) but the s|c installer perhaps uses the old file copying approach which requires elevation or it doesn't work to full exte...

Re: xtc mode again...
hi! which version are you trying to push?
do you run setup as administrator? the v5.1 setup is notorious for being unable to access program folders when not run by administrator. also, do you select xtc components on install?

Re: XTC Accelerator mode errors
it's interesting - what it was for and how did they differ from dlls that are installed by s|c installer of version 5.1?
never had any "dual core" issues.
is it something particular about xtc use in v 3.1?

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
please pardon my long disappearance but i've been doing.. uh... tests. to avoid recommending any unnecessary or even harmful voodoo. and indeed i deducted quite a lot and what seemed to be a longish talmud is very simple now. install scope 5.1 if the driver doesn't install - do 'testsigning on' tric...

Re: DAW Win 10 64 new installation, GLITCHES!
i would advise against following those old guides as the computers and windows have gone too far out to make sense of it all. disabling hyperthreading and EIST or turbo boost impairs performance by a tad and it's for granted... yet any benefits are not granted. in my experience, 'spikes' are caused ...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
xtc works here on win11 after some tricks but it really takes effort - it doesn't endure reboots but for that session it's stable. vst3 and x64 vst - unless someone is willing to write the interface dlls i guess. there are existing scope vst2 32bit dlls which might be disassembled and looked into ho...

4x pci motherboard with 4790 CPU and RAM for Pulsars
not exactly a scope board itself but a computer which is known to run Scope with 9-10 masterverbs on one card. 4790 CPU, 32GB DDR3 CL8 RAM has 4 pci slots LPT, PS/2 and other goodies made in Germany https://www.skelbiu.lt/skelbimai/fujitsu-d3236-i7-4790-lga-1550-32gb-ddr3-cl8-70864058.html i had upg...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
hey! i meant the s|c company has owners who are changing version numbers and ask for money but the unifxed stuff stays unfixed, not about S|C users making money. "as I once managed to get STS working on a clean W10 system with W10privacy and all mainboard soundcards "disabled"" -...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
it's a bit of a strange situation - the system has owners which are up to the money but are not up to doing any money-worth work on the system. fix soundcard source / destination modules - have been stuttering and passing garbage fix samplerates - no 88K selection fix WDM drivers - inputs and output...

Re: Is the new Scope 7 finally XTC compatible?
well yes, nevermind the uad, look what we have here!
it's not straightforward to achieve 'portal' into working xtc / vdat what not, but once achieved it's reliable within that boot.
anyone from the developers would like to look into it?!

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
i can make about 10 BSODs per hour with Scope. my windows 11 is still alive! win 8 wouldn't withstand it (one time you get welcomed by blank screen - ntdll is missing or something along the lines) but win11 is more resilient! however, you still corrupt data of non-windows applications which are open...

Re: Scope PCI cards clicks & pops - Windows 7 & Cubase 10
yes, newer windows and processors which have insane amount of cores have new tricks..:) i was seduced to go old multiple xeon way instead of new 'consumer' system and glad i chose the new one - old are OK but the new is so much faster. and eats up less electrical power for the job done. (and here we...

Re: Dante I/O device
Bud> the board i'm talking about is Fujitsu D3236-S, PCI 3.5V and 5V compatible. yes i'm still on scope 5.1 because as you mentioned xtc apparently doesn't work on later version - and without it or vdat there is hardly any use except for standalone 'external' synth/fx box kind of thing which on the ...

Re: Dante I/O device
i got the E version which is spec'ed lower than the base 13900 yet it also kicks up above 200W for short loads... but the 'base' power is 65W and overall it goes cooler than i7 4790 i previously had (maybe i'll put that mobo with 4PCI and that processor here for sale - it's really fine) the thing ab...
