Re: Prodyssey Fix Soon???
You wont get SC answers here. And, in my personal experience anyway, you won't get them from SC either. Oh well, like I said, I'm done with it. If Sonic-core ever release a new firmware for the ASB's I'd certainly consider buying one again though. Looking at the Plugiator, it seems to only h...

Re: Prodyssey Fix Soon???
Deja vu, feel like I'm back in another thread from a year ago. Don't much care since I don't have the ASB anymore but just for the record, my hanging note problems were caused by sending sequencer notes to the ASB and playing live on top of that at the same time. I've done the same thing successfull...

Re: Prodyssey Fix Soon???
I sold my Minimax ASB nearly a year ago now (the thing sounded great but got hanging notes like crazy, which made the Poly aspect of it pretty useless). There was a point, when I still had it, that I was writing to Sonic-core support literally once a week asking them if there were any fixes planned....

...Are you referring to the Solaris? If so, isn't that a John Bowen project that's simply being co-released (not designed) by Sonic-core? yes it is a John Bowen product, but guess who's doing (part of) the coding and hardware programmming .... ;) They're not just doing part of the coding...they're ...

you know about the fix of Slammah's B4000 ASB, but still put the company in a light of just cashing in for profit's sake while ignoring users. Great they actually helped one guy, and we only know about it because he told us about it himself on a unofficial internet forum. Meanwhile I've e-mailed So...

My Yamaha DX200 may not be totally reliable either - should I ask for customer support ? Well if Yamaha, or some other company that acquires the rights, starts producing DX200's again, then yes I don't think it would be unreasonable for you to ask for some support. Frankly, I don't understand what ...

no need to - as there was no need for SonicCore to ever support any ex-Creamware product. Really, the company that's selling that exact same Creamware product with a new sticker slapped on it has no obligation to support it? You may complain about a wrongly advertized polyphony - imho anyone playin...

You'd never get your firmware fixes if they'd focus on debugging - as the company would be out of business within less than half a year. So how are you suggesting we will get them? By chalking up our ASB's as a loss, and buying whatever new, fully-functional product that Sonic-core has on offer? wi...

Certainly if you buy a discounted product from a company that's going out of business you're taking a gamble and you have to live with it. I wouldn't be bitching about the lack of support from Creamware if they'd simply gone out of business, that would be pointless. The problem here is that Creamwar...

a lot of ASBs out there are bargain and sellout machines, plus a ton from eBay when Creamware had financial problems the legal administrator of the assets forced them to shell out whatever was on the shelfs... that's the other side of the 'support' coin - which does not mean I suppose anyone who co...

People aren't angry because the Minimaxes (or other ASB's) are completely unusable. Obviously those of us who didn't immediately return them or sell them on have managed to find uses for them. People are angry, firstly, because an instrument that has only 6 or possibly 5 consistently usable voices o...

I seem to remember the version # not changing in the software when I updated the OS (I can check for sure when I get home), I think I ended up doing it twice because I thought it hadn't worked the first time. But I don't think the number ever changed. Supposedly the 'Overload' LED on the Minimax wil...

Well this is a step, albeit a small one, in the right direction, in that: Ralf's actually given you a specific response to your question, he's acknowledged that there is a problem, and he's suggested that they'll at least consider fixing said problem at some unspecified point in the future. Personal...

Re: My first thoughts about my MINIMAX
I'm also having problems with stuck notes that some people have mentioned. When I play from my controller directly into the midi in of the minimax it is fine, but when I play via Logic or with my P3 sequencer, notes start sticking and it turns into a big mess, the only way to silence the notes is t...

He must be cleaning out his e-mail inbox. I got an answer today to my recently instated every-Monday e-mail to Sonic-core. It was Ralf pointing me to the link for the Minimax OS ver. 2.00, and asking if I'd installed it yet. I responded saying that I had done a year ago when I first got the M...

perhaps some of these bugs are beyond Firmware updates and in that case would require some down time...... keep trying them......they still sound quite interested with continuing the line.....we even discussed the CS80 ASB... Hey, if it takes more than a firmware upgrade, that's fine. I've said bef...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_protection Right, but that only makes reference to various governmental agencies that protect people against unfair business practices, deceptive advertising, et cetera. I'm certainly not suggesting that Creamware/Sonic-core has done anything that falls under t...

I just performed my weekly exercise in futility (-aka- writing Sonic-core support about ASB MIDI bugs). I'm going to keep it up, every Monday morning, until they answer me or block my e-mail address as spam, if they haven't already  . I wonder if there's any kind of German equivalent of the Be...
