Re: What additional plugins are your favourites ?

I just ordered Sixstring. It took some time for me to accept that this plugin is just a perfect piece of art ;-) Six-String is definitely special and a great plugin. Very versatile and sounds great IMO. You made a great choice buying it if you wanted a powerfull, flexible, and unique SCOPE plugin. ...

Re: New Xite Computer

If the 8700k 6-Core at 3.7GHZ is 20% faster than the 4GHZ 4790K per Core then that is very impressive speed for a 6-core. Looks like 8700k might be a leap forward over past 6-cores when looking at both price and performance. I would probably get greedy and wait another generation before upgrading to...

Re: Aturia V Collection 6

... the B3 Organ you mentioned,... I mentioned the combo organs (VOX & Farfisa),- not the B3. :) Bud Ah, my mistake. I have not checked out that combo organs yet. Atleast the b3 investigation was not in vaine since I did like some of what I heard :) . Arturia definitely seem to have a few better in...

Re: Aturia V Collection 6

:D ARTURIA :D rules! You forgot the CMI! An amazing emulation of the original. No matter missing Page R. I have Page DAW! Connect the best worlds together. Arturia did a really Phantastic Job. I tried out the 3 filters package, and they are what everyone needs. There is a preamps package too, but t...

Re: Aturia V Collection 6

I´m also not sure about all the included plugins are true Arturia devices ... Your suspicion is correct :) . Atleast when it comes to their Synclavier V as well wich is mostly developed and ported by the original developer and not Arturia. So you are right Arturia definitely did not develop some of...

Re: Propellerhead Europa - Flagship synth playable in Google Chrome

Can also now be purchased as a VST (previously only as a Rack Extension). I hope Propellerheads don't continue to make Reason's devices available as VST's for other DAWs, I suspect that may not be a good thing. Reason's devices are part of what makes it unique. This move may lead to some feeling th...

Re: The end of an era

Presonous seems to be implimenting the best features from other DAWs to make one super DAW. Exactly :D I've already told you, go for it! That super DAW strategy makes them harder and harder to resist. Eventually "resistance is futile" and you become borg "assimilated". Everytime I try to rule Studi...

Re: The end of an era

Studio One v4 has just been released. Looks like I wasn't the only one who felt it needed a Step-Sequencer cause that's exactly what Presonous has just added. It seems to be a very flexible and fast usage one. They claim a innovative Step-Sequencer but I don't see the innovation yet. Studio One is a...

Re: What additional plugins are your favourites ?

But dNa's effect rack makes anything sound better, and I always throw in a bass amp like Celmo's BAM or the Ampeg model after it all...amps just are the difference adding warmth and compression that rounds out the tone. +1 on dNa plugins. They are amongs my favorite and I belive amongs the very bes...

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/05/gibson-one-of-americas-oldest-guitar-companies-has-filed-for-bankruptcy-protection/ Agree with you completely. That article says Gibson will liquidate all its Consumer-Electronics companies and basicly go back to just focusing on Guitars, this might be best f...

Re: Cakewalk keeps alive!

Gibson just filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and are over $100-Million in debt. It's obvious they have and had serious problems and never should have bought Cakewalk.

Re: Security & Privacy with technology in 2018

What I hate about corporate abuse like this privacy issue is it ends up harming us in multiple ways. First our Privacy is destroyed cause Facebook and others don't know where to draw the line and go overboard doing things like watching all of your internet activities even after you leave their websi...

Z170 is discontinued though, along with i7 6000 series CPUs, I.e. i7 6700k, etc. May as well get the latest Intel since it’s really mature now. The i3 8350k if you want a quad and any i5/i7 8000 series. The i7 8700k is cheap now thanks to AMD. Good the hear about the compatibility, thanks. WOW :o !...

Re: SHARC DSP revision number

I doubt you'll be dissatisfied with the XITE-1D. If you're coming from a very old 10 dsp pci card system then the jump to the XITE-1D is very significant and should be enough power to keep you busy for a long time to come, especially if you have a powerfull computer to go with it. I think when one m...

Re: Cakewalk keeps alive!

https://cakewalk.bandlab.com/ Officially Resurrected! I'm glad to read that they plan to have very aggressive development for Sonar/Cakewalk and will pursue innovation for it (not frills and gimmicks, or very little of this hopefully). I suspect they might bring some sort of over-the-internet proje...

Re: what are you listenennig to at the moment?

Janis Joplin . Was the undisputed "Queen of Rock" and the first female Rock-Superstar. She started with Blues and had a VERY soulfull voice when she sung that way. She had a very unique Bluesy-Rock voice that produced top-notch singing. Love her very heavily distorted raspy voice that can get very d...

Re: New Xite Computer

Alright, Gents, update: I pussed out on the AMD Threadripper and ended up going with the Intel Coffee Lake 6-core (3.7GHz) and Asus Rog Maximus Hero X (Z370A). I installed Scope 7, it found XITE during the installation right away, and everything installed without any issues, and Scope is running fl...

I’m pretty much at a point I desire nothing more for my studio apart from Xite related goodies once and a while. 😁🔊🎶😀 I'm largely the same way. When I bought SCOPE I settled down and nolonger felt the need for anything new, jusr occasional wants. My purchasing rate dropped DRAMATICALLY and my purch...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

@Liquid Edge. You do love SCOPE itself don't you :D ? SCOPE has long been with lots of bugs like most complex software i.e DAWs, Windows O/S, etc. I'm sure you don't regret buying SCOPE despite all the bugs its always had. Bugs will always be with sophisticated software. You are correct if software ...

Re: MPA: A whole new Chapter for SCOPE and you are invited

Ofcourse everyone wants bugfree software, but in order to survive as a company one HAS to develop new stuff. Else you will be gone in a few years. Bugfixes dont pay bills. For me...please do new stuff, but not just for the sake of new stuff...there has to be a vision behind it all. ....dont keep ha...
