Re: Roland's new Keytar the AX-EDGE, WOW. Impressive!

Well the sounds are sure nice! Just like the old one. And having great internal sounds is certainly a plus. Priced a little too steep imho. I agree the price is a bit high. I think that is cause it has a versatile synth engine, and a lot more keys than usual, and seems to be a rare and niche produc...

Re: I got this new beast

Looks like another 6-Core by intel has just been released. Intel seems to have a goal of dramatic speed increase for their 6-Cores. The new i7 8086K 6-Core is running at 4 GHz. That's almost as fast as the current quads wich are 4.2 GHZ and a pretty big increase over 6-cores from a couple years ago ...

Roland's new Keytar the AX-EDGE, WOW. Impressive!

The new Roland Keytar looks amazing and sounds really nice. For those that don't know a Keytar is a cross between a Keyboard and a Guitar, it is the child of both of them. Roland are the best at Keytars with regards to looks, more keys (49 keys(, Sound (Roland usually has a built in synth engine as ...

Congrats on the new beast! When you do migrate your audio work to it definitely let us know how it all goes. Those recent generations 6-Cores are very impressive and well priced for the Audio-World. Real powerhouses for sure!

Re: In layman terms please.....

I’ll replace the graphics card as well because I think the old one has seen better days All up around AU $1100, that’s about US $800 Thanks all. I’ll report back later on progress All the best ...

Re: Key recovery possible?

You might want to check your Keyfile and see if Solaris key is under a different name. When I upgraded from pci cards to XITE-1 I got new keyfiles for my XITE-1 and when I looked at my John Bowen synths the Solaris was missing BUT there was a new key for Orion Custom Ex wich worked fine for activati...

Re: In layman terms please.....

Will probably splurge a little and add 64Gb RAM for plenty of elbow room and future proofing. Even Scope 7 has 16Gb RAM recommended. The graphics card will probably behave in a better system. While it is good to have more than enough RAM in your system I don't think it's good to have waaaay more tha...

Re: Security & Privacy with technology in 2018

As for politics, well isn't this one of the two topics that tends to cause polarizing when brought up in conversation? And for good reason I would say, it's very convenient to keep laborers and middle management spun up over what nation threatens us, which political team^B^B^B^Bparty is winning at ...

Yeah, but these are good Liberals, human rights, free speech, etc. At the end of the day it’s always about the money, even when they say it isn’t. Fake outrage over @ Google for working with China to abuse their citizens. They protest for a few minutes, then go back to writing code. Shareholders ge...

Optimus is one of my favorite devices in Scope. All of Ray's devices are top notch, we are lucky to have him here.
Can't wait to see what he has next cooking in the shop!

+1.. Agreed 100%. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Re: Vcv Rack open source great Modular

Looks like a good modular and sounds ok. I'll be keeping a eye on it for sure. None of the Native modulars sound as good as SCOPE's Modular and usually don't have the flexibility or extensiveness of SCOPE's Modular and often have serious limitations. I thought Softune's modular was too expensive wit...

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

Regarding Celmo's broken Purchase-Links; the problem doesn't seem to be with Celmo but with the company he uses for payment processing. After doing a little research I discovered the company Celmo used for payment processing Kagi has gone out of business after falling prey to fraud. Celmo was using ...

Is it possible to buy the full version anywhere ? his website looks around 2007 era and no purchase links work . Cheers , Michael Celmo's plugins should still be for sale. I've bought many of...

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

A couple options for reverb/ambience available for SCOPE that some people may not be aware of are: 1. Peter4724 created a clone of the UAD Precision K-Stereo Ambience Recovery System plugin by Bob Katz (Also available in Native world threw Algorithmix). It can be used to add or subtract natural ambi...

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

My favorite is Celmo's Spring Reverberator, here - http://www.celmo.com/download_page.htm Warp69 and Relab are going to release a special fx Reverb multi-effector wich is a emulation of the Ursa Major SpaceStation SST-206, wich I can't wait till it comes to SCOPE. It's been a very long time since th...

Re: Scope 7 Windows 10

SonicCore stated they did a lot of under-the-hood work with this version 7 upgrade, wich I think was the main point of it. It has compatibility and optimization for Windows 10, as well as better hardware drivers and improved Asio drivers. The dsp load-balancing has been improved as well. Eventho I b...

I just ordered Sixstring. It took some time for me to accept that this plugin is just a perfect piece of art ;-) Six-String is definitely special and a great plugin. Very versatile and sounds great IMO. You made a great choice buying it if you wanted a powerfull, flexible, and unique SCOPE plugin. ...

Re: New Xite Computer

If the 8700k 6-Core at 3.7GHZ is 20% faster than the 4GHZ 4790K per Core then that is very impressive speed for a 6-core. Looks like 8700k might be a leap forward over past 6-cores when looking at both price and performance. I would probably get greedy and wait another generation before upgrading to...
