Re: Linnstrument (My Review)

Turns out there actually are some without the braille. Maybe you could exchange yours if it bothers you that much.

Re: Linnstrument (My Review)

Maybe you've already contacted Roger but if you didn't I'm sure he would love to read this info. I think I might like the smooth pad to pad sufrace as well because one the things I purchased this controller for was long smooth glides and it works for the most part but yeah it could be better. Here i...

Re: Cakewalk keeps alive!

The problem with companies like this is the corporate weenies eventually make it ALL about the money. They have no vested interest in the products they sell. It's fine when you have a trusted name brand product that you can pull off the shelf and you are pretty much guaranteed a certain level of qua...

Re: Six String on Scope XITE 7 @ 96kHz max 2 voices before DSP capacity limit

Sorry, yes as Gary said not even close to maximum DSP with one Six String it was just the 8 voice max on 6 string itself.
Here is an old thread on the topic.

Re: Six String on Scope XITE 7 @ 96kHz max 2 voices before DSP capacity limit

i think that can be done now. That would be welcome of course :) Well like most things in life, I have learned to work within the limits of the Xite and try to exploit it's strengths which are many. While Six String will always be criticized for it's precise guitar modeling by some, I've found it t...

Re: Six String on Scope XITE 7 @ 96kHz max 2 voices before DSP capacity limit

@44.1 I have never gotten more than 8 voice max on Six String on the Xite-1 no matter where you place them and how many times you optimize. Did not change with Scope 7 from my tests.

Re: Dave Smith Instruments & 8DIO Sequential Prophet X

As a natural bragger about myself I take total credit for seperate Oscillator glide we’re now seeing on so many synths. Hardly my idea, but I got tired of buying soft synths that didn’t incorporate it. JBowen was up for the challenge, Zebra2 and Cakewalks Rapture followed. Now hardware wisely emula...

Re: Dave Smith Instruments & 8DIO Sequential Prophet X

No doubt this will be another high quality analog synth from DSI. It will appeal to some and not so much to others.
Personally I am very happy with my Prophet Rev2.
For my next hardware synth I think I will try out the Behringer line.

Re: 96 KHz

Folks, you there using 96 KHz, if you were to give a percentage about the subjective perception of the sound achieved, what would you say? I will be clearer with a precise question: How much better to your ears do you think the jump between 48 and 96 is? Is it 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%? Try to be as preci...

I'm also interested in Python. Does anyone have a screen shot?

yup Xite + PCI gets you the most out of scope. My 3 PCI cards are on a Win10 32bit machine with 26 DSP's. I use it mostly where the Xite 64bit has fallen short: STS, Zarg, Sequencers

Re: Seaboard or Linnstrument?

I think you will be very happy with both of those. MPE seems to be gaining some traction esp now that it's officially supported by the midi assoc. Just for your info the Linn 128 fits snugly into an averaged sized computer backpack with a 15' laptop and other junk. heavy, but do-able. That config wi...

The Linnstrument you can buy a whole new rubber surface if it gets damaged $69 for the large.
Support is top-notch. (so i've heard, no probs with mine)
Def make an effort to try one before you buy other. :)

Re: Piano: THIS IS IT!

Some of the impact instruments require the full version of Kontakt. It's a shame because they really are affordable and great sounding but I can't justify purchasing Kontakt/Komplete. Already have too many vst's I don't use and if I start down that path then I'm probably looking at a computer upgrad...
