proTone

Finally got around to installing the 5.1 upgrade which included proTone.

WOWZA does proTone ever sound amazing. It is just completely beating the daylights out of this piece I am working on. Jeez!

That is all.

The Year In Review : Late Spring EP

http://theyearinreview.bandcamp.com/

Our latest season of the 2012 song cycle. Recorded into ProTools with a 10 chip Scope 5 system handling some processing and synth duties. In 100 square feet. Safe for work.

"This is the old me, missing the old you."

Enjoy!

Re: Analog Days - 80s Synth Improv

Nice one. I have a box of old tapes and DATs that I've always been afraid to dive into for fear of what lurks in there. This has inspired me to open it...

This is great. Nice sounds, thoughtful progression through the piece. Sounds like you have fun putting it together.

Re: Tonehammers Emotional Piano

The Kontakt 4 converter has been working well. Though I gave up on trying to convert entire folders at once as the process takes a long time and if there is a file that causes a crash you are stuck wondering at what point did the system crash. So I only convert old patches as I need them, one at a t...

Re: Tonehammers Emotional Piano

Very nice. The tone and the playing are well paired and nicely evocative. I also made the move from GS to Kontakt and have had good luck with the converter built into Kontakt 4, it takes a while and appears to crash at some point, but it does work. I messed about with the Chicken Systems converter s...

Re: Scope Midi not working in REAPER

I can confirm that the Scope 5.0 MIDI I/O is working just fine with the latest Reaper. I'm running it on a Pulsar 2 in Windows XP Pro.

Re: piano adlib for yoga / relaxation

Very nice. I have fond memories of sitting at my Grandmother's upright piano with the sustain pedal-to-the-metal and improvising in this vein.
This recording is begging to be chopped up and fed to my MPC. Hmmm...

The Year In Review - Winter EP

Here's a 3 song EP I just finished with a project called The Year In Review. An austere by cozy mix of songwriting and production. I used my 10 DSP Scope 5.0 rig for some of the processing and synth backgrounds.

Above is a SFW Bandcamp link.

Enjoy.

Re: JANUARY 10th, 2012 - REVOLUTION DAY!

Bravo, Sonic Core! All this looks great. Very impressive and ambitious plans for such a small company. The new GUI and open-ness of it all looks like what Kyma by Symbolic-Sound should have looked like years ago! I am very much looking forward to downloading 6! Also, I too would be interested in tra...

Re: HP xw8200 running well

We have a facility at 15th and another at 17th and JFK.

The RAM is ECC 1066.

These used xw workstations offer a lot of bang for the buck.

XITE-1 fund has begun!

HP xw8200 running well

Just wanted to put this up here into the SCOPE cloud. I've upgraded from a self built P4/1GB/Intel Server MOBO to a stock HP xw8200 workstation with dual single core xeons and 4 GB of RAM. The box can only accommodate 1 full length PCI card as the processors get in the way of the second slot. It fit...
