why not just use an editor? Yes, I use WS Editor to program sounds on the Wavestation SR- the graphics are not so good, but bit by bit, it does its job... did you use the same midi notes, velocities etc coming from a sequencer or did you play them live? Just curious :) btw, the 3rd mp3 "shameless complex", has a serious Korg Wave Station quality about it !! (at least according to my memory of that classic WS sound which I've not used in man...

scope loads at startup before anything else and my default project has asio i/o patched already, and yeah it is the primary audio device...not sure about latency settings, what should they be at?

thanks for the quick response. but wouldnt these problems exist regardless of whether scope was running? and the rest of the 'puter, for that matter. basically, anytime im using something requiring asio (ie. bidule, reaktor etc) im getting random crashes (the whole system hangs). it might be 5mins into a session or an hour or so (as was the case just now), and its not when im doing anything particular ...
