For Sale: Scope Pro Plus, w/ NFR keyfile!

Hi all! I'm planning to sell my Scope Pro (14 or 15 DSP; whichever the newer generation was designated as!) card with Plus output board (could probably swap for a Z-link one if people want it). It comes with a press NFR keyfile, that allows access to pretty much everything — including all 3rd party ...

Re: Getting scope to work in PT 9 native - an ongoing advent

Hi 19thB,

Are you using SFP mode or VSTIM/XTC?

Cheers!

Re: Does anyone use Scope and Pro Tools HD together?

I thought as much :) I might try removing the IO plate to see if that works (though it didn't seem to be necessary with PT7). I'll keep trying, and when I find out what the problem is I'll report back, in case it'll help anyone else. By the way, am I right in thinking that from v5 onwards, the VST D...

Re: Does anyone use Scope and Pro Tools HD together?

Quite possibly... That might ruin the clocking, but then I'm not so sure if the Scope card actually needs to be clocked to provide DSP only sans I/O. Gary, I think I already did as you suggested - if you mean the pin 2 & 3 shorting trick, as described in the XTC/PT7 thread? If you mean something...

Re: Does anyone use Scope and Pro Tools HD together?

Cheers! Last night, I removed the RTAS wrappers, changed the Cset buffer values to 64 (which is what PT was set to), and re-wrapped the plug-ins... Weirdly enough, the character of the hashy/digital white noise changed - it sounded slightly closer to how it was supposed to, but it was still obviousl...

Re: Does anyone use Scope and Pro Tools HD together?

I'm wrestling with PT9 HD and XTC right now... I did the pin 1 & 2 jumper trick, though that didn't make any difference to the problem I'm having, which is as follows... I VST-RTAS wrapped the plug-ins (as per the PT7 XTC thread), and now the plug-ins load - the interfaces show up fine, and DSP ...

How encouraging!

Was it a press release/public mailout or a private correspondence? I ask because I haven't received such an email, and I normally do.

Cheers!

Re: SFP vs XTC

I tried Protools 9 in XTC mode and it doesn't start (works in SFP mode though). Hi Bifop, Could you elaborate on this? Have you had XTC working in older versions of Pro Tools? I ask because I was planning on squeezing my Core card into the same system as my Scope cards, and would have been rather c...

Whoop!

Quick question - does anyone know if the 3DSP system (shown here: http://sonic-core.net/joomla.soniccore/ ... 22&lang=us) is new?

Cheers!

Pro Tools HD & PCI Scope in same machine... Lunacy??

Would the above be total madness? I have a HD rig and a Scope rig... at the moment they're separate. Would it be utter madness to try and get them both in the same PC? It would save me a lot on upgrades (only having one PC), and if I could use the 'jumper trick' that someone else on this forum used ...

Re: Recommend me a computer game (Steam)?

Cheers for the replies all! Some food for thought... I already own Portal, and think it's fookin' incredible - so innovative, and such a good atmosphere, especially considering you're the only 'living' thing in it (though that Glados computer seems pretty sentient at times... and evil!) I'm looking ...

Recommend me a computer game (Steam)?

Hi all! As per the title, really... Only thing is, I don't think I can be arsed with a high-speed FPS (can't handle the stress these days!), and my computer isn't exactly cutting-edge graphics wise, which limits my options a bit! I'm on an Nvidia 7900, so can play all but the newest games, but I'd r...

STS memory limit in SFP 5.1 w/x64 Windows?

Hello all! Just keen to hear people's experiences with the STS samplers in 64-bit Windows? I got an email from SC over the weekend saying that the new release candidate of SFP 5.1 had been addressed... (For info, I'm still on 4.5 on XP 32 bit, as I haven't needed to upset my stable rig, but I intend...

EDAC ELCO disco party fun times!

Evening all! I have a bunch of EDAC looms (with 56-pin connectors) that I need to convert from male into female. Now, it looks like the EDAC bodies are kind of 'reversable', so I *think* I can just take the pins out of the body and chuck them in the other side, then put the housing back on and I'll ...

Re: pci sxpansion

I'd be slightly put off by the fact that it requires an ATX case and PSU... If you were after a portable Scope rig, wouldn't it make more sense to get a rackmount PC in the first place, and then a 1U or 2U rackmount monitor and keyboard thingy? Otherwise you'd basically be dragging a PC *and* a lapt...

Re: Making use of the AES/EBU in

As long as you keep the cable runs short, you should be able to get away with chucking a S/PDIF signal through it, with an RCA-XLR cable.

Cheers!
