Re: Max Lullaby

Oh, old thread reactivated ;)

If I remember correctly the drums are from Stylus RMX.

Some more MiniMax tunes are on my hp:

Anna, I chose the wrong letter deliberately because clicking on the link with a misspelled file name shows all other available files without too much typing work.

I think that the P'08 does not quite sound like a Prophet 5, but it sounds good.

Most musicians still use mixing desks, have audio interfaces and prefer 1/4" jacks/cables for audio out.
Why implement something that costs money when only a few people need it ?

Combining a normal saw wave and a reversed sawwave leads to a result that pretty much sounds like width modulation of a pulse wave.

I think this is the one. Not sure though if I moved some faders during recording in addition to using modwheel, aftertouch and bender.

Seems like I unknowingly reprogrammed one of the presets. One of my principles is not to touch the preset sounds of a new unit because that takes away a big amount of the fun discovering a synth. I didn't even step through them so far. One time, when there is stagnation in my own programming efforts...

With better drums now.

I apologize in advance for the next one:

Some weird comination of spring tiredness, burn out syndrome and climacterical indispositions is to blame for that.

No arranging, just some tracks manually played and recorded. I suppose I should quantise the drum sounds a little ;)

My Prodyssey isn't quite silent

There is an audible "leaking" of the audio engine out of the right audio output if I set volume levels on my mixer quite high. It is not the ordinary background hum or noise but it sounds as if the VCA gain for that channel weren't quite set to zero, means the noise changes pitch if i chan...

Seems the tuning thingie is getting a little better. Drums from Spectrasonics Stylus, synth sounds from the Prodyssey, no additional processing.

I've installed the remote software too, but don't quite understand why this has to be so close to the original too that it doesn't display numerical note/semitone/cent values for the pitch sliders.

Some awfully detuned sounds

A few spontaneous sounds made with the Prodyssey ASB that I've just unpacked: http://www.trippler.net/files/mp3/Prody1.mp3 I noticed that it's rather difficult to programm sounds that fit together because there isn't something like a basic setting for the coarse tuning of the oscillators. Any hints ...

You'd need a midi interface with more than one port or you can try to use midi and USB connection simultaneously. You can't use the remote software in Cubase like a VSTi, but if you have a midi interface with a multi application capable driver (Steinberg Midex 8 for example), you can use Cubase and ...
