For Sure!

After a period of crashing all the time I have bought the NI Kontakt. And i only work (for samples) with audio and kontakt now.

NO MORE HANGS!

I still use a lot of (other) creamware synhs etc...
But the problem realy is inside the STS series.

So no more STS for me.

I think your right about this midi leaking, but the totaly freezing of the pc only happens with the STS samplers.

But i don't know a good replacement vst or something, that will read all my STS presets :-?

Because I have tried everything to fix the hanging problem, and I've gave up today!

'Fixed it!' :D (resized the picture)

I'm also gonna try to install scope 4.0 instead of 4.5
and a clean install with no automatic updates enabled...

Should it be save to install sp2?
or just sp1?

I have tried 3 differen Mobos now.
And the problem persists.

So I was thinking, could it be the Power Supply Unit???

I've got a sweex PSU now. (650watt)
But it's a not very expensive one...

Could Creamware Crash if the PSU is unstable?

The Asus P5B seems to have some problems with more than one CW Card, and STS Direct Memory access.

So the more samples used at the same time the more crash chance....

Gonna try the new bios update from this month, and else gonna change it for WHICH ONE?

Any Tips (other than ASUS P5B)???

Normaly I always use just one STS, unless the presets won't fit on the outputs. But also with one STS the comp will freeze. But the more STS samplers, the more the freeze chance. 1 STS = +/- > 1h of fun  2 STS = +/- < 1h of fun :-? 3 STS = +/- < 10m of fun  But only on my new P5B /...

What benefits did you get from OC'ing? I tried it on my DP DAW w/ a Supermicro PSCT+II @ 233MHz and saw no advantage in audio streaming, however on my Core 2 Duo DAW I did gain substanially in respect to instances of GigaPulse impulses. Gigastudio 160 Vrs. 2.54 is on the DP DAW and that and SFP don...

I'm allmost sure now... The PC only Crashes with STS loaded. That must be the reason why this project crashes a lot of times... My Cards are not sharing IRQ's with anything... They are at 21,22,23 (see attachment)

I've tried to freeze and unload all used VST's and it still keeps crashing.
I'm now gonna try what will happen when all STS samplers are removed from the project file (see other attachment)
