Re: Scope DSP/Xite in the modern market

If I was specifying XITE2 I would put: 1) newer faster sharcs 2) VST Mode 3) Impedance matching devices - preamps, amps, channel strips etc (like Apollo unison) 4) new sampler 5) Fixed BNC, functional STDM, Dante etc. 6) MIDI 2 7) Retina / High res GUI devices (Reason is coming out with this next m...

Re: Scope DSP/Xite in the modern market

Do you think that could happen on the current SC h/w platform, or would we need to see an XITE-2 ? eg with updated, faster DSP chips (at least on par or better than ADSP 21469 ?) Personally I think the XITE-1 is more than capable from a technical/performance point of view, but it's probably not fro...

Re: Scope DSP/Xite in the modern market

I started using Scope DP many years ago - it was a dream come true back then and in a few cases still are. It was an exceptional combination of software and hardware - they had to invent multiple solutions never seen before both in software and hardware and it stills impresses me what they actual ac...

Re: Acon Digital's Verberate 2 reverb

I think it's a great move from iZotope - they have been looking for some time (years) now for experienced people with reverb knowledge. They have searched and tried a lot of different approaches, but they admitted that those kind of people are very difficult to find. They decided to purchase Exponen...

It is the Mystic Mountain in the Carina nebular. It's taken by the Hubble telescope with various infrared filters. It located in the Southern Hemisphere.

Re: Original Scope DP + Pulser 2

Just some clarifications, since a lot have asked via PM. The system could be used to create custom DSP modules and generate licenses, but the keys for that functionality is only compatible with v3.x and maybe v4.x, but not v5.x. Besides the keys might be locked (NDA's) to individuals and not the act...

Re: Ferrofish news and exhibitions

It's correct that the old Scope DSP modules is far from optimized for the new sharcs, but I would hope that Scope 6 will rectify this (it has been underway for some time now). What is unknown is how much power is available for DSP effects/function - the antialiasing filters are probably also running...

Still good for submixes that can mix 32 channels down to a lesser number suitable say for XITE-1 ADAT.
I don't think I understand what you're trying to imply.

That 2.7Gflops can only add 32 channels together (which equals to 5952K flops at 192Khz)?

Re: SC-Plate: how comes no midi control>?

The Plate use a lot of DSP modules - so Scope can't place all the modules on the same DSP. It would be best to load the Plate before any other devices (especially RAM based devices).

Congratulation Juergen. A very nice product!
dante wrote:With only one DSP, can't imagine turning it into any sort of multiFX unit.
I can't see why not. That single DSP equals a Scope PCI card in performance on optimized code.

Re: Please make me a meter bridge.

I mean the raw modules inside Scope DP/SDK. I have lots of different versions of the old Scope DP which contains a lot of modules that's not present in the current SDK. These modules are obviously part of commercial devices or devices that never got released to the public. Including unprotected Mete...

Re: Please make me a meter bridge.

Ain't there a meter bridge already in Scope? I have used it multiple times in the past.

Is it allowed to distribute/upload old Pulsar/Scope software? Like modules not present in the current versions (both consumer and developer modules).
