Re: Original Scope DP + Pulser 2

Just some clarifications, since a lot have asked via PM. The system could be used to create custom DSP modules and generate licenses, but the keys for that functionality is only compatible with v3.x and maybe v4.x, but not v5.x. Besides the keys might be locked (NDA's) to individuals and not the act...

Re: Ferrofish news and exhibitions

It's correct that the old Scope DSP modules is far from optimized for the new sharcs, but I would hope that Scope 6 will rectify this (it has been underway for some time now). What is unknown is how much power is available for DSP effects/function - the antialiasing filters are probably also running...

Still good for submixes that can mix 32 channels down to a lesser number suitable say for XITE-1 ADAT.
I don't think I understand what you're trying to imply.

That 2.7Gflops can only add 32 channels together (which equals to 5952K flops at 192Khz)?

Re: SC-Plate: how comes no midi control>?

The Plate use a lot of DSP modules - so Scope can't place all the modules on the same DSP. It would be best to load the Plate before any other devices (especially RAM based devices).

Congratulation Juergen. A very nice product!
dante wrote:With only one DSP, can't imagine turning it into any sort of multiFX unit.
I can't see why not. That single DSP equals a Scope PCI card in performance on optimized code.

Re: Please make me a meter bridge.

I mean the raw modules inside Scope DP/SDK. I have lots of different versions of the old Scope DP which contains a lot of modules that's not present in the current SDK. These modules are obviously part of commercial devices or devices that never got released to the public. Including unprotected Mete...

Re: Please make me a meter bridge.

Ain't there a meter bridge already in Scope? I have used it multiple times in the past.

Is it allowed to distribute/upload old Pulsar/Scope software? Like modules not present in the current versions (both consumer and developer modules).

Re: SDK 6 installation

I did mail them and got the following response : are you running the SDK "as administrator"? (right click on the SDK icon, choose "run as administrator", answer "yes" to the warning message asking if it's ok to allow SDK to make changes to the system) Scope is closed while running SDK, yes? But i di...

I'm also experiencing the exact same issue. I'm using Win 7 64bit.

I haven't had time for trouble shooting yet.

Re: Early reflection, stereo enhancing in scope

btw warp69.. is there any chance that TC could deliver their VSS3 (from a techincal point of view) as native plugin? or is it too demanding? (However if they want to is another story). From a technical point of view - easily. It could also run on Scope boards - it would take the same amount of RAM/...

Re: Early reflection, stereo enhancing in scope

The VSS3 algorithm (TC3000) has a mono in -> stereo out ER engine that have upto 80+ taps depending on the preset. All the demos in the link have added reverberation besides the ER's. The Ambience plugin also have close to 80 taps, but with different values of course. The difference is you can have ...

Ehm well. I still do some prototyping on Scope SDK - so existing and future products does exist in some form in Scope ;)

Re: Sonic Time Works reverb plugins still available somehow?

@dawman Ugh... Kontakt... Info on the web dating from 2004 suggests these plugs were "ported" from the Lexicon equipment, apparently that is not the case. I really like the SC-Plate. Tim The P100 is identical to the PCM91 rich plate algorithm. A100 is identical to the PCM91 ambience algorithm. Only...

Warp69: can there be any differences in outcome due to floating point rounding.. or is the resolution on the float to high to see any impact when comparing cpu with dsp? Yes - you will exprience differences if you don't use the exact same number representation. That's infact the reason why you can'...

Re: Why 'hardware' synths sound better ?

Then what are the philosophical differences between DSP's, CPU's and GPU's that have positioned them as specialists for thier given application ? Thier reason for existing, if you like. Or might manufacturers just as well be throwing intel CPU's onto 3D gaming cards and Avid HDX cards (if not now, ...
