Re: XITe-1 + Modular 4 + Flexor + Ocean Swift + Mattomat + m

You are so right! I fee sick about how little I will get for such an awesome system - and how I have had zero interest!

This is the most sophisticated virtual studio in the industry and I am gutted that my circumstances mean I need to sell!

Hey Ho!

Re: Mike preamps

Wow - what a terrific interaction - thanks for all the food for thought!!!!! My real problem is that in the 70's I was lucky enough to make an album at Abbey Road - (which was so bad it was shelved and never released - hey ho). But when I heard my voice on vintage Neumans that were actually the same...

Re: Mike preamps

Thanks chaps - that's reassuring - all the project studios described in mags such as Sound on Sound make a big deal of external HW Mike preamps - but hey - they don't have Xite

Mike preamps

I am an amateur bedroom demo solo bod who records multiple vocals of myself a la Beach Boys or Beatles (32 vocal tracks isn't uncommon). I have a decent Mike which I plug directly into an Xite-1's Mike preamp input. My question is - what am I missing by not spending £3,000 on an external hardware Mi...

Scope 5 64 Bit runs as 32 bit - Reason 8 won't load

Hi....... I have Windows 10 and scope 5 - my Bigwig DAW runs OK but Reason 8 won't load (with Xite-1 as the audio interface in both cases). When looking at the running tasks in Task master I noticed that the Scope software was identified as Scope (32) even though I downloaded the latest Scope 5 64 B...

Windows 10 Driver error

Hi all,

I am trying to perform a new install of Scope 5.1 for Xite - 1 on Windows 10 and I keep getting the message:
Error.PNG
Error.PNG (65.59 KiB) Viewed 1892 times
Found "Sonic Core XITE - 1"
ERROR: InstallDriver returned - 2

On reboot the hardware is not identified and the software doesn't load.

Any suggestions?

Re: DAW Tracking with Xite - 1

Hi,

That makes sense - I use Scope for recording and monitoring plus effects so minimise latency - great!

DAW Tracking with Xite - 1

Hi - can someone answer a naive question:
Do Xite-1 DSP chips improve latency of audio recording to a DAW via mike inputs (similar to Protools hardware) - or is it just the Synths and FX modules that use the DSP's to reduce latency (compared to VST's).

Cheers ......

Re: Moog patch Pink Floyd

I was in Abbey Rd in the 70's and used the Baba O'Reily synth (I know the Who didn't record there but it was the same synth) don't know what it was called but it came in a small siut case with a matrix of pin holes that needed pins to plug the X/Y axis to build the sequence - difficult to use - came...

Re: Protools comparison

All points well taken and despite myself I have learnt to "bounce" ( usually 20 layered Beachbobese harmonies) - the only slightly flippant argument I was making was that a home recording solo enthusiastic tracker can loose the inspiration whilst twiddling the knobs to get the system recor...

Re: Protools comparison

Wow - touched a nerve here I think  You see the thing is - I am not a producer - I am a singer song writer who actually recorded an album that was recorded at Abbey Rd (it was crap and EMI refused to release it and they dropped me - hey ho) and the Album had a tape op, engineer, and producer -...
