Re: Shoutout for DAWMAN

Hear hear Yayajohn.

Living is deadly!

We don't fear death, just the way it will happen. Somehow it is reassuring to know if you left a good memory to somebody or some people. Fellow scopians...please make memories with your loved ones!

Re: DAWman / Jimmy

Oh my god guys! This really is a terrible loss. Jimmy was so incredibly kind and considerate. Like a brother you never had or the friend you'd like to have. Always in for a joke or a pm or a comment. I am really so shocked about reading on his loss. I was to busy with my personal struggles so i did ...

Re: DSP Assignment.

Good question but it is not needed in the dna devices. They are all optimized for guaranteed phase coherency! Dont worry! If there is phasing it is certainly a non dna plugin ;)

Re: dNa-EffectRack v3 version available!!!

Nice one dawman ;) For fx and processing i use these racks myself time and time again. Both. I cant say i have a favorite module but my least favorites are the inserts haha...kidding...i just dont need to use them for my 'spielerei'. Very open and big sounding fx. From subtle to extreme. And i love ...

Re: VCA with gain

Well, a comp is fairly easy in its gain structure. No matter how you build the compression section, that section attenuates the signal. After compression the signal is less. Then you can use a static gain module as the makeup part. This is how comps work. To avoid clipping you can pre attenuate the ...

Re: VCA with gain

Well...there is a process called parallel compression which does that. Also i think an expander can do that. A drawback of positive gain is you are also gaining up noise. Signal might go up 10db...but the noise in that signal also. Or you can take the gr out(for metering) and substract that from a m...

Re: Are plugins 0dB VU or 0dBfs?

Sad to say the stereo recorder didnt work out. Luckily more than enough other ways to record...but it would have been nice. The vdat is a very complex plu internally. As i hear SC contacted one of the original mastermind programmers of scope for recoding the whole scope core to 64bit. But....if it e...

Re: Are plugins 0dB VU or 0dBfs?

For dNa plugins: http://dnamusic.nl/dNa.Scope/index.php/question-answer#QA_7 In the digital domain 0 dBfs is zero dB full scale...or in other words all the bits are used if signal hits 0dBfs. Digital cannot exceed that. You could sent in more or hotter signal, but a converter doesnt have extra bits ...

Re: Timeworks Mastercomp phase issue?

There is no such thing as a 'slight' phase issue. Phase issues are very serious and imho render a plugin useless! One has to be able to trust gear! Left and right should be always phase coherent to eachother. Now i dont know how you tested....but two identical signals (mono), of which one is inverte...

Re: Legit or not?

I would ask myself....can it harm me? Is it for the Cummy Cockston show, i would think twice...Aimed at White power fanatics...i'd say no. But with a legit broad based channel, and 30 sec with full credits doesn't sound that bad. Is the song just laying around. Take a gamble. It might indeed bring y...

Re: Presets and how to create them? (SDK 7)

Okay DragonSF, it is called the same in SDK7, but some things in the GO editor, actually it is called GO-Tree, are a bit fiddly. The parameters which are of special interest are: ViewTree Group(VTG), Custom Horizontal Size(CHS) Custom Vertical Size(CVS). These interact. I'll explain how to use them:...

Re: Presets and how to create them? (SDK 7)

Actually, i can move controls inside groups that are in the panel, so in the sdk4 you dont have to be in top level. Just as extra info ;)

Re: Presets and how to create them? (SDK 7)

Try to unset the custom vert and horiz size....so the viewtree group to auto. Do this in the GO editor. Probably there is a clip select flag set to the panel or group and the size is incorrectly set. Together with the clip select this can be the problem. Clip select means you cannot select outside t...

Re: Presets and how to create them? (SDK 7)

There is another hidden option when you right click the panel module...think it is hidden there...or the surface interface module connected to panel...disable move...maybe that flag or another is causing this. Or what you can do...open a basic empty effect or something....and copy all your stuff int...

Re: Presets and how to create them? (SDK 7)

As you can see in the reader on dummypads i use the audio and/or control pad to make dummy pads.

For moving stuff on the panel...goto surface mode and with the cursor in move or edit mode i can move gui parts around
