Astroman - You have your oppinion and I have mine. I HATE controller keyboards and I do know that no matter if it's a keyboard attached to the unit or a seperate MIDI keyboard, it's more or less the same thing. My point still stands and is valid. I believe that a true synthesist makes more of a phys...

Dave Smith (of Sequential fame) didn't seem to think so when he made the Poly Evolver keyboard (61 notes) or the new Mono Evolver keyboard (37 notes), and his company is still quite small. I seem to remember that he started out with a desktop module (the original Evolver), then made a rackmount (as ...

I guess different people want different things. Myself, I hate large keyboards. I like 3 or 4 octaves (5 at the very most), anything more than that and I'm not interested. The most interesting synths in the last 30 years have had less octaves. Synton Syrinx, Sequential Pro-One, Roland System-100, OS...

Yes, there is €500+ difference on the Access Virus range for the keyboard version, but this is mostly because the Virus Ti keyboard is 5 octaves (which is a lot more metal and a lot more wood than the desktop, a much bigger physical size), and the Polar is made from more expensive materials. If Crea...

I totally agree - if you take a look here, you'll see that it would have been easy to make a keyboard version of the Minimax ASB, as there was already a company making a controller for the software Minimax plugin version: http://www.midisoft.de/shop/index.html?d_EDT_Midimax_Desktop_Export128.htm The...

Well, I've been told that it's because mine comes from an early release, the very first version to be released (of which I'm also told, there have been three versions). VERSION 1: Half metal/half wood below the buttons on the very front of the unit. One third of the back panel is a pale wooden strip...

Thanks for your help on this one. I got the e-mail and loaded up the software, which actually opened and worked first time. I loaded up the OS 1.04 file, entered my key code and started to send it to the Minimax via MIDI using my Edirol UA4fx. Everything went fine, the file ported over and I got a m...

Nice video on Sonicstate, but sadly the unit doesn't get played. Some nice features (like having the Minimax filter and the Prodyssey, so you can switch between them).

Something else I've been thinking about is what about an ASB drum machine? An 808 or 909 maybe, or something a little bit more unusual. There must be a growing market for classic drum machines as well as classic synths. I've recently bought a Korg Electribe ER-1 Mk2 (for a very cheap price as they'v...

I was looking on the Thomann website this morning and saw that the ProOdyssey is due on the 10th of June. I cannot wait for this. I've always wanted to own an Odyssey and I'm sure this ASB will be just as good as the ones already available. There's nothing on Creamware's ASB site about the product y...

Yeah, it's a good idea, but that's more for the people who like the concept of Noah, which I personally wouldn't buy. Do-it-all boxes just don't do it for me. They aren't the same as dedicated modules like the ASB with controls that replicate the historic synths they are copying, which is far better...

Hmm...a modular ASB... An ARP 2600 would be great. There aren't that many good examples around these days and to have a new one in the guise of an ASB would be great! How about the RSF Kobol? That was a cool little synth with some great sounds and you don't see too many of them these days either. Yo...

Seeing some other posts where people are saying what they'd like to see Creamware make next, I thought I'd add my own ideas and wishes on what I'd personally like to see. 1. I'd like the Pro-One (ProTone) to be made into an ASB box. Sure, I know we have the Pro-12, so I doubt they'll ever do it, but...
