your midi monitor is invaluable here. if you have an asb box. run the remote software and the monitor. change the bank and it will show you all of the midi data transmitted.

Are you talkng about an asb box or klangbox? the asb banks can be changed from the front panel. both boxes can do a bank change through control change, it's listed on the cc chart in the back of your manual.

the minimax is easy to open. there is a tune knob on the upper left of the box. there is no indicator anywhere that tells you what you current operating system is, if the overdrive input LED lights when it is overdriven, yoy have the newest O.S.

pbernosky, I have a small midi box called a midi solutions event processor. It allows me to map any midi event to another midi event. I can assign any controller on my triton to control any parameter of another synth.

that's not the O.S. version. do a search here for any questions you have. most of these subjects have been discussed. the overdrive light did not work until 2.0.

If you send a signal to the input and overdrive it the overdrive led will light. one of the things fixed in 2.0.
hold down twelve notes one at a time each note will sound and the thirteenth won't. it is twelve voices ,

When i was updating my minimax to 2.0 it made no sound. it finally worked on the third or fourth try. windows xp.

Glad you got it sorted out. I just got a yamaha yme8 splitter and hasn't caused me any problems with the minimax.
