The clock source field usually just shows "-------" in Logic when you change the ASIO drivers to Creamware but if you'll reenter into Logic Audio Drivers menu you will notice the text changes to syncing with Creamware. At least it does on my system.

Considering it came from Anne Onymous ("anonymous" in english) the President of the company is Lots O' Speed and the Chief Engineer is R. U. Gullible (look up "gullible" in your nearest english dictionary) I would say this rates about a 110 on my crap-o-meter. We don't even need ...

I don't have Noah, but I downloaded the software to see how it looked on screen. It looked very good. It had none of the graphics wierdness that the first Macintosh Pulsar software had in OS9. All of the knobs and sliders seemed to work okay. The inserts worked very well in the Noah mixer. It gave m...

Regarding the Sound Manager Dest/Source drivers. It's true the "in"/Dest drivers are useless for recording, etc. but since ASIO is not multi-client I would hesitate to totally trash the "out"/Source modules. When I want to have a sequencer open, and also other multiple audio apps...

I have a Macintosh. Mixed mode simply doesn't work with the STS series. You'll need to get one of the converter softwares: Chicken System's Translator or CDXtract.

Ignore the .ungz file. Rename the other file so it just ends with ".oxe". You should be able to click on it then and have the installer place all the files in the right place. However, if that doesn't work, see elsewhere on PlanetZ where I describe installing PC files on a Macintosh Pulsar...

Okay, here's how you get the PC demos to work on your Macintosh. Any .oxe file can be opened up in Scope if you place the .oxe file in the Scope folder and then start up the Scope app. To make sure all the files are opened right I like to create a folder called, not surprisingly, Oxe, in the App(s) ...

I would say the same thing about the Emagic EVB3 emulation. The B2003 is much richer and fuller. And, again, that's comparing similarly named patches.

Question about the Amper. I've got it running well on the Macintosh side. I have a question about the gate. Whenever my guitar level goes down below the gate threshold there's a certain uneven graininess in the way the sound decays. I've never owned a real Guitar amp and all the related guitar boxes...

Well, is it the interview from October 2002? That's now 6 months old and is available for the general public at their site. If it's not the interview you wanted then this doesn't help at all.

Use STS2000 if all you want to do is play preformatted STS programs. Use STS3000 if you want to start using a few filters and/or make your own samples/programs. You can also start using individual outs for programs which is really useful on drum programs where individually processing drum samples wi...

without going into horrendous detail, yes, its worth switching to a Mac, but. . . Pulsar, Scope works well on a Mac but if you're familiar with working with key commands on a computer exclusively to do things you'll be in for a change with Scope. You have to do most things on a Mac with the Mouse an...

Celmo.com has a "HammonQ" which has some bread and butter organ sounds. It's nowhere equal to a Native Instruments B4 but it's playable. Or you can get some B3 samples and play them on the STS series. If Creamware ever releases their hardware "Noah" it will have a B3000 which is ...

That's about as fast as you can possibly get that setup to go. Lean and mean. Good job. Make sure your colors are set to millions to see the fonts as best as possible. I don't know of a way to change the fonts.

I spoke too soon. You can load STS programs from the popup menus in the samplers if you happen to be smart enough to type the pathway correctly and not just think you typed the pathway correctly in cset.ini. D'oh. I did some extensive testing on trying to record into the Wave Dests and had no luck. ...

I only put it through a couple of its paces. It seems about the same. One problem is that loading STS programs from the popup menu IN the samplers doesn't work (although loading STS programs from the Browser still works). It didn't get any worse as far as speed/snappiness goes as far as I can see.

Sometimes you need to look in your DSP folder and make sure you don't have both the old version and new version of whatever particular file is associated with an instrument. For some reason they conflict and the right one won't be found. That might be one thing to look at in solving your problem.

There must be cultural differences about talking about death here. I thought Krizrox was very respectful in a gently joking way. And by the way if you're going to insult him the proper english spelling of the Yiddish is "schmuck." <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: Gregory on 2002...
