Re: Xite Zlink ?

Juergen does all repairs I believe.
I regretted selling mine, but got lucky with one barely used sitting in Vegas.
I never used the ZLink before.
All ins and out of it in use was pretty impressive.

I have a used A16 and a pair of 8ch ADAT A/D D/A for 32 IO.
If there was a MADI unit available, I'd make the move.
Indeed, me too.

Re: Midi cc modulators/lfo

Yes Scope is awesome.
Scope 7 and OS MIDI Commander are on my short list.

at0m made a great LFO to MIIDI Patch I added retriggering to.
I use it to retrigger TC Fireworx Phaser Sweeps and SpaceF Mixer Channel Filters & Pans.

Thanks for all the helpful input, guys! Reevaluating shit here and thinking about going with an Intel. Was looking at this guy: https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16819117827 Jimmy, your idea sounds rrally interesting, too (your ideas always do), can't say I'm bright enough to understand the setup y...

My new gig has infected me from dance grooves.
I’ve been a statue for years..
I’m missing presets from showboating too much....

The way uses those 128GB DAWs w/ VEPro is fantastic.
He’s known for synths but his Orchestral set up is insane.

Re: Carson City, Nevada....Where the dead come to gamble.

Saki and I took a tour of your town via Google Maps. we found the camps of the snowbird zombies, but i didn't see you... nice town, but where are they hiding the 55k population? the town is only some 10 miles across, and people only live in the middle. there are mostly single family homes, the bigg...

Re: THE CANTERBURY SUITCASE... Wow!

Oh yes.
Much like true Suitcase models from the 70s.
It’s what I use most right now.
Keyscape LA Classic from Keyscape, and PianoTeqs MKI are very good too.
Canterbury is a spot on 70s Rhodes sound though.
Round Robin attack and release samples make you mad just like the original.

Re: Behringer model d in my Studio

Where can you find this stand stateside? The closest I have been able to find to something like this is: https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Multi-Media-Desktop-109434/dp/B00AJHCQD8/ You might like one of these for 50 USD. Perfect for small modules. I’m assuming you have a MIDI CONTROLLER. This is als...

Re: New Xite Computer

For 3k I’d build a master / Slave Dual PC set up. You’re better off getting the best real time performance since that’s where Scope lives. The AMD Quads are due out and look fantastic. They have powerful iGPUs and are cheap. The Intel i3 8350s are fast and cheap too. 6 and 8 Core PCs are powerful bu...

Re: How To Really Use DSP Compressors Live

Just now discovered how the Transient Designer can make my Baritone/Tenor section skip right over the initial attack which claims its recorded that way for “realism” when actually a Reed Player trying to get some bark out of their Bari hits the Reed like an explosion, not some “breathy” attack. I ch...

How To Really Use DSP Compressors Live

I’ve always assumed Compression is for recorded audio tracks during mixdown. So I rarely used it as an insert on Channels/Busses. I now realize how wrong I was. Here’s what I recently discovered, and how I can still maintain proper volumes. Using ASIO Instruments like a Kontakt, UVI, PLAY, Zebra2 HZ...

Re: Creamware A16 vs Behringer Ada8000

I’ve got modified ADA8200s and for live work they’re great because you can use a Mutec Clock then go into and out of ALL I/Os simultaneously.
A16s you get more I/Os thanks to Z-Link.

So with the clock and modifications on 2 x ADA8200s I spent 1475.
A16 cost 550 USD.

Re: Carson City, Nevada....Where the dead come to gamble.

Never played so many Horn Parts before. My SE-02 and Baritone Sax were so boomy out of my B1200D Sub Amp it caused me to bring the volume down affecting the Spacestation sound as they are hooked up in series. After a set of unsatisfactory sound I inserted Faxis Dual Slop Cut Filters on the Bari and ...

What fun. Tipped valet 10 bucks, the guy brought me my keys last set.
Went to get the car and it was already parked by the load out doors.
In Vegas a 10 spot gets you a thank if you’re lucky.
