Re: Security & Privacy with technology in 2018

Privacy does not exist, and Security is a superstition.
As long as my Audio drivers work proficiently they can track me.
Who knows, I might fall into a crevice during an avalanche and now Google will sell my location to the Rescue team.

Re: Synth died from the heat

You should have stayed in TN Jimmy. It's been in the 80's all week long.....won't last though I have a feeling what's out west will eventually move this way soon. Fan under the Xite with the pwr supply right on top of the fan. Not needed? - maybe, but long term maybe buy me a few years. I als...

Re: Synth died from the heat

Good luck Valli. Heat is definately high out West. I’ve learned my lesson by using triple barrel 22,000rpm fans. I had my first failure 3 yearsago in Nashville’s high heat/humidity. Now I use silent setting for slower speed, but full tilt maximum outdoors and it’s loud as a Hoover Vacuum. But works ...

Re: Bummer

The guy said no, but I did assume he updated the BIOS. SOP @ most places. But he did my panel LEDs and Fan speeds, etc. perfectly. At least he said it would be a freebie, so I’ll check back here before I open my trap again. Well now I got a spare C236 from ASRock coming. Damn I’ll now have spare bra...

Re: Bummer

This is C236 Asus Xeon E3-1275 w/ Windows 10 and the PCI Overflow when using a VST Host is not going to work. I’ve seen the C232 ASRock working so I bought an ASRock C236 to see if that will work. Scope 7 on my Z97m WS and H97n WS work fantastically. If this ASRock board won’t work I’m through with ...

Re: Bummer

ok, but i think his problem is that he isn't using the v7 key. he's using his keyfile, which doesn't have the new v7 key. whether driver signing is off or on, the problem isn't related. :) senior moments and a lifetime of brain abuse....or that might be me... Re: Bummer

Odd though because it shows the import was a success. It’s followed by the installation error message, then goes blank. So we have connections, and imports workings, it’s the validation or installation. I’m trying to figure out a way to reverse the disable driver signing trick I used, which now seem...

Re: Bummer

Yep tried that folder since it was default. Tried desktop, tried placement in projects folder, not sure that the importing of keyfile is the issue.

Re: Bummer

windows 10? there should be no need to do things like disable driver signing with v7. that driver is signed. Is there a way to reverse the #7 option in the Start Up Settings? I’m thinking maybe that being on now has messed up the installation? Also I have the Logo/Shortcut thins and the Keyfile on ...

Re: Bummer

Well I put the PCI-e 1X Card in the 16X Slot and everything loaded up just fine. Seems the PCI-e 1X Slot caused the freeze. But now Scope imports the keyfile successfully too, but stops dead in its tracks because of an installation error or invalid activation key message. Where should I place my key...

Bummer

New Windows 10 build seemed ready to go. Installed the new Scope 7, had to reseat the Card, etc. disable driver signing, then found the drivers, all looked good. But as soon as I go to start Scope, the little blue circle appears, the mouse arrow freezes and I’m in lockdown. Have to unplug the power,...

Re: mp3 Playback & 24bit Wave Source

Thanks GB. I was messing with that but in Mix #1 (it shows 2 meters, both stereo I assume) and the first one has those annoying windows mistakes sounds, but really weird because they’re very repetitive and I never heard this pattern before. I shall do as you suggest and check back as tomorrow I must...

Re: The Time For Scope 7 Is Here

Mutec makes the most elaborate clocks out there.
I used one for a while to get loopback features of an ADA8200.
Mutec allowed ADAT and Analog Ins and Outs all able to work simultaneously.

Great kit for sure, worth the price.
Cheaper clocks work, but dont allow such elaborate routings.

mp3 Playback & 24bit Wave Source

Ive always used mp3s to learn new material using Scope.

I cant do this now as Windows Media Player says there's a problem with my Sound Device.

Any suggestions and what do others use here?

Thanks

Re: The Time For Scope 7 Is Here

I feel terrible having all this fun. Actually felt bad because I didnt buy it immediately, but too busy to fix something already working. I just hooked up my A16 Ultra and used the ancient 1394 proprietor cables. Everything works. Stuck a pair of cascaded FIreworx via ADAT, then via AES/EBU Hosa ODL...
