Re: New Xeon E boards support 3 PCI slots

Dante. Supermicro 246 with the E-2186G is pretty damn fierce. https://www.supermicro.com/CDS_Image/uploads/imagecache/600px_wide/intel_motherboard_active/x11scz-f_front.jpg You can buy a server already made from Supermicro with the CPU and parts. Its a tiny ass 1U but looks sweet. There's also a che...

Re: New Xeon E boards support 3 PCI slots

Been watching these guys with Q370 and C246 PCH parts. This is a great mobo for 1U Servers too because of the DIMMs perpendicular alignment. Give me a 4GHz Xeon E-2100 something. Not big on getting slower 6 core variants. But its possible that the i7s are also able to be used on this board. In that ...

Re: Fastest Quad Is The Cheapest

I missed this back in 2/2018. Seems the data might be wrong as the i3 8350k is much faster and has a larger cache. https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/core_i3/i3-9000#Memory_controller Keep your eyes peeled for this cool running low watt speed demon. I’m willing to bet it’s 4.4GHz @ stock speeds with...

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

Celmos stuff is awesome.
No Screenset capabilities but for recording/editing folks that’s no big deal.
Master Channel with 2.1 and Ken Suguro’s presets is still great for rigs using stereo + a Sub.

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

Scope Reflector never worked for me in XITE-1?
I had to use MVerb Pro and skip over the main verb to use early reflects.
If the new reflects works that’s great.
They make great gated Reverb simulations for horn sections.

Re: Scope / S-C Reverbs

I always liked shimmering Reverbs and SC Room 5.1.
I put SC Room 5.1 on AUX 2 then RoyTs BB Delay on AUX 4.
AUX 1 gets dNa Chorus from Rack FX, then Optimus Prime or SpaceF AUX Delay on AUX 3.

Still have FX Inserts pre and Post for dynamics per channel.

Pretty much covers scenarios for my needs.

Time for 7/10 and my new new live build.
Just waiting for a high binned 8086k delidded.

Scope 7 Windows 10

Is there any explanation why Scope 7 works with every chipset/CPU/Mobo now, and didn’t using Scope 5.1?
Was it just new drivers for Windows 10?

Re: CMS-1

Reaper seems to be perfect for this.
MIDI, Audio, Video, FX and the plug in get a dedicated channel.
Can’t wait to mess with this.

Re: CMS-1

I will see how OSC in Bidule can be used.
CMS-1 certainly sounds big and juicy in the demo.
Love the Matrix.

Re: Brickwall EQ

Sounds promising though.
Looking forward to using it.
I did finally find the proper hardware pedal though.
Deco by Strymon seems to get thick, and the Expression Pedal can be assigned to any knob.

Re: Brickwall EQ

Eric Burdon did a cheesy old 60’s tune called Sky Pilot (How high can you fly-fly-fly-fly) that was a really good example of Tape Flange on vocals. If anyone gets around to trying this I pray it’s thick and juicy as that example. I use Satin and it’s about 50% authentic, but the closest in Native. I...

Re: Autogate new plugin

Can’t wait to fuck around with that too. First time in a decade I wasn’t all over something to upgrade Scope. Wasn’t planning on working as much as I am. I’m in 3 x bands here as the Tahoe area is a refuge for a Bay Area migrants. The place is packed with musicians and gigs. Not enough keyboard play...
