Re: 3rd party plugins S|C

all plugin keys are transferable. Scope keys(v4, v5, v7) are not. the key belongs to the hardware, not the user. that's how Scope was designed. OK, now we're cookin :) - What we're talking about here is the 3rd party plugs-NOT "Scope Fusion Platform"-So is transferable - good! , It would be great i...

Re: 3rd party plugins S|C

Yes having the codes limited to ONE audio device is not too good - A challenge and response or dongle (iLok/syncrosoft) would be better - but hey better still would be NO protection at all - after all Scope Xite & PCI cards are very NICHE market and there are not a lot in circulation so PIRACY shoul...

3rd party plugins S|C

Hi, Just looking at some of the 3rd party plugins on S|C website - Such as DNA although there are others. Do the plugins need to be tied to a particular interface such as PCI card or Xite? I figure probably yes = :( - In case of Xite it's not a problem as I only have 1 Xite as long as all the plugs ...

Re: How do I overclock my i7-4790 ?

In my experience, the potential extra 10% CPU power you might get, is not really worth the risk/hastle/instability - Just saying :) Maybe this is correct - But if you wanted to.... Is it the 4790 or the 4790 K -? You would need to get into the BIOS and learn how it works - this may involve another ...

Re: Level matching query

Hello, I have 1 x A16 Ultra S|C with Z-link - This enables me to access 32 I/O on the Xite The Luna 2 boxes I have - 2 of them - Are to connect to the Power Sampler - 3 DSP PCI card + 1 X Z-Link & expansion plate (ADAT)-&-1 X Z-Link (4-pin floppy power connector)=16 I/O with Luna 2 - On the ADATs I ...

Re: Level matching query

Well Garyb, The Red Box's @ £300 each GBP just to match the level is pricey compared to Ferrofish A16 AE @ £500 for a full 16 I/O - There may be a cheaper alternative - I'll keep looking And Janni, I've already got enough PCI cards for now - though if a 15 DSP board arose with ADAT I'd be tempted an...

Level matching query

Hello Scopers, I'd like to run something passed the tech folks here about signal flow and level matching. I've thought this through but would like to check if this is correct or not. I've got 2 Luna 2 boxes & a Fostex VC-8 - all unbalanced consumer level. Sonifex have the RB-UL4 - direct link for co...

FX8350 has really dropped in price now so 70 $£ for not far off 3770 K performance (standard clocks) is good -

Re: New Motherboard with PCI for AMD FX6350

Hello guys, a friend of mine is searching for a new Motherboard with at least 1 PCI-Slot (for a RME HDSP), but better would be 2 because I've got a Pulsar2 left. His CPU is an AMD FX6350 6 core 3,9GHz. 4 RAM Slots and 6 SATAs and onboard GRFX would be cool. Since I'm on MAC and use an old HP XW6200...

Re: Intel C236 Build

Hi dawman, Are you talking about your build of C236 with E3-1275 V6? - (not the iBase Q370)? I've already got the Asus P10S-V/4L - Which could be used for other purposes other than Scope - I've gone for the E3-1245 V6 as it was quite a lot cheaper than the 1275-V6 How could your machine work OK for ...

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

Wow fraz, the Asus H310 TUF looks amazing !!! I've been searching this forum for ages to renew my old config with 3 PCI boards, for something newer that may allow me to lower my ULLI latency, and have more juice for my DAW. Currently I have ULLI on the medium setting (6ms in/out I think, so a littl...

Re: Intel C236 Build

Hello, You think your 4790 is old - What about the poor old Q9450 on 775 !!! I've gone for one of these https://www.asus.com/uk/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/P10S-V-4L/ It's on the C236 chipset, 4 LAN & 4 PCI slots - to go with a Xeon E3-1245 V6 @ 3.7 Ghz - 4.1 Ghz boost - This is of course with t...

People love the DSP's - PCI cards and Xite-1's - Have you got any PCI cards you want to sell such as Scope Pro 14 15 DSP boards / SRB 14 DSP - If so PM me

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

If you're interested in helping, I'm all ears. I don't think there is enough interest and demand. In dribs and drabs people will come here to ask and find information There are boards available like you've seen and there may still be releases for time to come in the low end consumer and low end ser...

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

Thank you gentlemen, now we have some useful info to sticky in here. What you stated was exactly my concern, that we have the same questions asked over & over and yet no real guide to summarize things. The site owners could throw something together for the PCI cards (sticky)-Divide things up- Intel...

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

Actually there are so many options even today to run the Scope cards - Not as many as a year ago due to NEW Z97 / Z170 not being available. The iBase option on Q370 is the same price as HEDT (high end desktop) at 300 - I'm quite taken with Asus TUF H310 (OK it's consumer) and also like the Asus P10S...

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

Intel 236 chipset - server level board - bit more confusing than mainstream - compatibiltiy etc..... but for anyone who thinks 3 PCI slots isn't enough, here is 4 - :) - too bad only 3 scope cards can be used! https://www.asus.com/uk/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/P10S-V-4L/overview/ 4 lan connecto...

Wow version 7 on XP

One micro ATX machine from 10 years ago, Intel Q9450 will come in handy - that machine is staying XP!
