Re: New Xeon E boards support 3 PCI slots

I've sent a quote to iBase asking about the costs etc.... I don't have a problem with the consumer boards - if any of them let me down I'll come here to gripe about it !!! Regarding price of the new Xeon D compared to 8700 K - I've read the Xeon D will be £450 - I've seen 8700 K for £303 and I'd be ...

above is the link to some of the industrial boards - support for current gen and previous gen CPU's

I've sent an inquiry/enquiry to them to ask about the cost for the 8th gen i7/xeon and the 6th/7th gen i7/ and the 4th gen i7 -

Re: Best mobo and cpu combo

You've got over 1500 posts to your name - !!! - Don't you have a PCI slot motherboard? The single rack type boxes are for the "industrial" type motherboards, AsRock Rack or Super Micro or similar - DAW MAN is a member here who knows all about these. Apparently there is a Xeon D CPU about as strong a...

Re: New Xeon E boards support 3 PCI slots

And give me a non-Threadripper AM4 board with industrial build, 3 PCI slots and solid bandwidth for our platform and that can be front page build news here too. If only =] I'll keep a watch out for the Xeon E (that is 6 cores) and see what the pricing is - but I've really got enough PCI slot boards...

Re: New Xeon E boards support 3 PCI slots

Hi, Looks like a good board! - But won't be cheap! - Is that XEON chip a Xeon version of the 8700 K? - OK, it'll support ECC RAM but apart from that it's very similar to the 8700 K? - The Xeon will cost over 100 more - and the motherboard maybe more expensive than most others (it may be very good th...

Re: Two Win OS with Scope 7 on 1 machine?

Hi Binaural, yes you could buy another HDD and take out the "Windows 7 HDD" and re-install everything from scratch, if this works 100% as you want it to I do not know. You could build another machine for 64 bit only and keep your Windows 7 machine untouched. If you need to use more RAM on your compu...

Re: Has a RME pcie better Performance with vst Plugins?

Few years back I was asking about RME cards on the RME forum! (I don't have any RME cards PCI or PCI-e) - A user on their forums commented to me he'd love to have the use of some synths that are available in Scope. Scope can be a pain to learn how to use it where as other cards have a fixed signal p...

STDM cable "error"

Hi, Got hold of an old Pulsar 1 4 DSP - :) - And a Pulsar 2 older one - There were 2 STDM cables included one of which looks like the other ones on the PCI cards I bought new and there is the other STDM cable that looks like it may be home-made or from AN other device ??? - Anyhow, there was an erro...

Re: 2 x Asus boards 3 X PCI slots

Is there any real experience with running SCOPE PCI-cards on these newer chipsets and if, what was the performance like? Hi, - :) - Someone has got an Asus Z370 ROG Hero (or similar) working with Xite-1 and 8700 K - S|C have done something very good to make this work - :) - But only recently, so, n...

Re: New Xite Computer

I suppose you have a point dawman - But the 4790 K / 7700 K still well solid and better mult-threaded but 8350 K being 150 isn't bad at all. The 8600 K with 6 cores 6 threads is only 30-40-50 $£ more with multi-threaded way better. pu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-8600K-vs-Intel-Core-i3-83...

follow the directions in the email. Hi Garyb, yes I've got the Modular IV and backed up - Shame the computer isn't setup currently but from memory I think that the Pro 5 & Pro-Oddysey (or whatever the synth was) was included and authorized upon installation of 5.1 but I overlooked the Modular IV ma...

Re: Scope 7

I think there’s even proof of people using 370 chipsets now. It seems very good for XITE. Yes I did see a post on the forum on Z370, Coffee Lake 8700 K 6 core @ 3.7 Ghz - Which someone has got working just great. I did post a reply asking if this means that Z170 would work on Xite-1 now that 370 do...

I swear I read in the past there was issues with Scope and LGA 1151, but, everything installed and works perfectly.
OMG - Your Coffe Lake 8700 K working with Xite - :o - Very happy for you :) - Does this mean the 1151 Z-170 would be good as well?

Scope 7

Hi, With Scope 7 is there improved compatibility of chipsets that were not previously good? One day when the ducks are in a row - :) I will try things out myself but it's not currently possible then I can put info here. So from reading here 170 chipset not good on Xite, has this changed for Scope 7?...

Re: Definitive Scope PCI card host PC?

Reading fidox's post above, he doesn't like the integrated graphics as it causes pops in the audio, I'm not doubting this, but asking is this really the case this would happen and keep on happening due to using the Intel onboard graphics? It's really handy to use onboard graphics as it means no need...
