Nice to see Cubase trying to catch up with Sonar for a change. I'm suprised it wasn't called SV for `Sonarised Version`... but of course Sonar 2 is coming out soon and Cubase will have to start running again ...

I'm hoping somebody out there can help me. I've got Pulsar v3 installed on win98se and I just found out last night that, for some reason, the left channel of the AnalogSource thingummybob is not passing any signals through it. So at the mo I'm limited to right channel mono recording. Is this some ki...

Nice to see what pulsar peeps are into... I started out as a funk drummer, then flipped out and gigged as a jazz pianist, until getting into hip hop around 1990. Then my head completely exploded when I whent to my first illegal warehouse party. Ever since I have been a tekno junkie. My tekno has got...

Great feedback guys!!! I'm particularly amused by the toss up between the EDi8 (or whatever its called) and a couple of coconuts. Being a purist I'd have to admit that the STS stuff is not really what I got Pulsar for... after all I've already got GigaStudio. But if I was stranded on the periculous ...

Hi fellow Pulsarians, Glancing at the fantabulous `device` page I am continually flooded by the tremendous amount of synth emulations on offer. But surely they're all kinda the same. They seem to all be virtual analogs with perhaps a reverb or delay added. So I wanted to ask this question to help se...

"muzak is for calming passengers" this made me smile with images of planes careering out of control filled with calm sedated passengers and the carpenters greatest hits (played by mike boosley and his bontempi organ) soothing them. "We've only just begun....to live... white lace and p...

Don't get me onto questions of strawberries and peaches or I'll start a food fight!

I always had a fundamental element of respect for the person who transformed an Ozzy Osbourne tune into lift musak.... is that canned fruit?

I do the opposite... there's such an unlimited possibility of controller assignments to pulsar devices that, rather than create one freak setup per device, I just set the freak to take a series of controller numbers (20-28 or something like that) and then set the synths in pulsar to work with them.

Most suprised to find this thred still alive! Paul... (and gary) rereading my post it sounds like I must've just had a shot of expresso and needed some rant. If I can defend my POV, Perhaps less pompously, what I think I was getting all excited about was not an analysis of `composition` but rather a...

Yep I work this config, mainly due to GigaStudio not yet supporting win2k. Everything works fine, although Pulsars lack of WDM drivers under win98 means that some of Sonar's more powerful features are not easily usable (DXi's, and input monitoring). However.... upgrade to v3 and win2k and things are...

Bingo!! After some problem solving at the weekend I've been able to solve the mess which installing the v3 software caused. The solution, as usual, proved to be very simple..... upgrade Sonar to the latest fix on the cakewalk site. The only strangeness which I'm experiencing now is that the pulsar s...

Hi, This is a post to inform those who are curently using Sonar within the 98se environment, for whatever reason, that Pulsar v3 can, as in my case, totally ruin stuff. So much so that Sonar cannot even see any soundcard to profile. On the good side... everything is sweet in 2k and WDM works ok with...

Hi everyone, I love the new v3, lovely sounds, and low DSP mixer BUTTTTTT..... It's well and truly screwed my Sonar up. Sonar intermittently recognises and then doesn't recognise that I've got a soundcard. Loading up GigaStudio kind of kick starts it to recognise the Pulsar. But even when it does I ...

An exciting thought Mr Pollo, But what really gets me going is what if..... They can keep the functionality of the Pulsar environment(i.e. GSIF, Mod2, and all those freebies) AND allow the XTC interaction with the sequencer. No more having to pop up the Pulsar environment before making a track. Real...

Hello fellow Pulsarians, Have any of you got any idea of whether all the above will be combine in 3? It would be really cool to be able to use GigaStudio in Sonar with Pulsar effects on it (as VSTi's). Previous information suggested that when in XTC mode the Pulsar won't be GSIF compliant. I wonder ...

I love planetZ. These forums are great BUT..... I must say that it was a hell of a lot easier keeping up with new devices, presets, and patches when they were in their old list format. Now I visit the devices page and it would seem that old devices are at the top (due to people discussing them) and ...
