Re: Windows 7 64bit - any incompatible devices?
Thanks for the info. Don't use the samplers or XTC mode so no problem there for me. Favourites are probably the Wavelength stuff, Inferno, U KNOW 007 and Synchrotron. Might reduce the possibilites if Synchrotron's step sequencer doesn't work but if the vast majority of devices are OK I will be very ...

Windows 7 64bit - any incompatible devices?
Hi peeps! I am looking at updating my OS from Windows XP 32bit to Windows 7 64bit. Yes, I know it's taken me a few years longer than most, but my setup is perfect except for one major problem.......my only limiting factor is RAM which I run out of before I even hit 40% CPU usage in Reaper. I ...

Re: Is there a device that allows you to convert velocity to
Thanks for all the replies. As HUROLURA puts it, I wish to be able to get velocity information from played midi notes and transforming them into MIDI CC messages. So, if I hit a key, a velocity value of 67 can then be transformed into a midi cc2 message with a value of 67 (which could be scal...

Is there a device that allows you to convert velocity to any

eBay - what a scam!!
I place 5 items for sale on eBay using Paypal as the method of payment. Two people buy two of the items. They send me payment. I check Paypal - no payment received. I send emails to the buyers to let them know that I will send them the items as soon as I receive payment. They email me to let me know...

Re: Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
In my situation I do not want the possibilty of having to go through what I have been through over the last two months again. I bought the PC from Scan and it works amazingly well with a combination of an Audiophile 2496 PCI soundcard, 4 UAD1s and 4 Powercores - all PCI cards (3 Powercores and 4 UAD...

Re: Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
Hi there Cory. :) It might well help having a more specific XITE thread asking users to list their PC spec. That's kind of what I was trying to do here but the thing is people, quite rightly, want to discuss things that can then lead the thread into different areas away from just a list of PC spec f...

Re: Is Paypal site down or wot?
Thanks for the info. :) Paypal was back up and running when I loggied on first thing this morning. To be honest, I made a complete ballsup using eBay to sell some items. I have only ever sold one thing on eBay before - a van on behalf of a friend where I didn't use Paypal. This time I used Paypal bu...

Is Paypal site down or wot?
Now I know it's everyone favourite but I can't access their site at the moment. Am I doing something wrong? Can Paypal not handle the fact that I should actually be getting some money PAID INTO my Paypal account today?

Re: Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
Thanks for the kind words Corey. Mum is doing real well!! She started chemotherapy last week and was warned that she will feel sick and was given various tablets to help. But she hasn't felt sick at all . She is very strong for her age which is good. :) I will let Pete at Scan know that Jimmy...

Re: Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
have you checked irqs? many other devices can share, but Scope can NOT. there were serious problems with the Nforce4 chipsets originally, too. later bios versions sorted that out, for the most part. Yes. Scope is sharing same IRQ with my graphics card. PCIE4x slot and PCIE16x slot share same IRQ on...

Re: Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
When I used the PC with the Audioophile 2496 PCI card and a total of 4 Powercores and 4 UAD1s - all PCI cards - there were no problems - tons of synths and effects and no clogging of the PCI buss :P The Xite-1 requires more PCIE bandwidth than your standard PCI/PCIE soundcards when it gets going wit...

Experiences/advice on creating PC/Xite-1 setup
Thought I would start a thread so that fellow Zers could post their experiences and advice regarding setting up a PC and Xite-1. Might be useful to others who need help getting their Xites working with their PCs or are looking at purchasing/upgrading their PCs. My PC:- Scan 3XS SA-i7 PowerDAW http:/...

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
Hope they find, repair & send it back to you as quick as possible. Cheers iSiStOy. Well, I have been advised by Parcel Force that my Xite-1 is in Coventry in England. :) It hasn't left England yet! Not bad considering it left my local Post Office 6 working days ago and Global Prio...

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
Messing about with registries is not something I would do myself. I would need to get a Scan (the computer supplier) engineer to look into it. But I am 99.9% certain this is not the problem. It's a brand new PC with SP3 installed. No need to mess with the registry - it's just a command to tell wind...

Wow!! Thanks Roy! As if I wasn't missing my Xite-1 enough already!! The demos sound fantastic. I can't wait to try this baby out!

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
I don't remember where, nor I know if this is the case, but there was once an issue with XP that it has a fixed number of possible audio driver installs that leave a trace in the registry...something like 5 or 10...so if you don't uninstall them properly when you have something new you arrive at a ...

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
I really hope you get it working as it is such a pleasure to use. I ran the C ++ x86 app first, then the Scope XITE-1 install, and everything was automated and easy. I think everyone here knows I am a Moron with tech savvy stuff, but I didn't even have to call GaryB. I usually call him just for the...

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
Hi there John. I have responded to your very helpful post below. I have highlighted my comments in bold:- Sorry. I didn't realize you had 2 video cards. The BIOS checksum error was because it had been set up for SLI, then when you pulled one, it tried to recover. Anytime you get that, all you need t...

Re: Cannot install Xite-1 driver
I have been in touch with Scan Computers who supplied my PC. I asked them about the chipset driver and they gave me a link to the latest one. I downloaded it. ran it. Got the message:- This computer currently contains software version 9.1.0.1012, which is newer than the version you are about to inst...
